Thoughts: Today's 新加坡華人雜飯 Singapore Chinese Mixed Rice with 2 vegetables and 1 meats costs SGD$3.60 (rm$12.65) without the rice BUT the Kopi O Kosong was not too bad!

People's Park Centre 珍珠大厦 has more than 100 years old of history, if the History record found in the web is correct; 珍珠大廈食市中心 People's Park Food Centre started as a hawker shelter in 1923 at a public park near Pearl's Hill. By 1940, it had become Singapore's largest fresh produce and fruits market. Completed in 1973, 珍珠大廈 People's Park Centre is a mixed-use development, strata-titled development located at the junction of 余東旋街 Eu Tong Sen Street and 克羅士街上段 Upper Cross Street in Outram, Singapore next to 唐人街地鐵站 Chinatown MRT station. It has a mix of residential units, shops and offices. Constructed on the land sold in the first Government Land Sales (GLS) programme, People's Park Centre marks an important chapter in the architectural history of post-independence Singapore. The 50+year old shopping complex which was once in the early 70s, the first biggest shopping complex Singapore is now poised for redevelopment!
The complex is just next to Furama City Center and has a lot of hawker stalls, at the ground floor as well as lower ground with lots of Singapore hawker foods available for breakfast as early as 7:30am until 10:30pm!
There are at least 5 Chinese Mixed Rice hawker stalls here among the many other Noodles hawker stalls. Today's first lunch in Singapore is a SGD$3.60 雜飯 Mixed Rice with 1 meat and 2 vegetables:
炒豬肉 Stir fried Pork
紅燒的豆腐 Braised Tofu炒白菜 Stir fried Cabbage
AND the SGD$1.40 Kopi O Kosong is just fantastic!
