Thoughts: The menu picture shows lots of patato, fresh cockles, and many pieces of chicken meat but actual delivered 1 pc patato, no cockles, 2 tiny pcs of chicken with mostly bones! Kind of disappointed, but perhaps should not expect too much. 
Nevertheless, the "西刀鱼丸老鼠粉 Fish Ball Rat Noodle" I had here some 2 years ago on 24.07.2017 wasn't too bad.

Thoughts: I planned for curry chee cheong fun but as I requested for curry "banjir" on my choice of chee cheong fun only; the young man told me that the curry has 鸡精 chicken essence. I really don't mind as I am not a "pure" vegetarian but not sure what came to my mind that I immediately denied and said only the sweet sauce and sprinkle of soya sauce will do! 
And so I went to read about the ingredients of one of our local producers of chicken essence which is "Brands". Besides "chicken essence", it also contains "birds nest", ginseng, collagen, 冬虫夏草 cordiceps, fish oil, 林芝 linzhi, 当归 "dang gwei" and many others, interesting (must be facts, since its Brands website). I personally eat a lot of "Chicken Essence" in school days especially during "some" mid-night-oil times in the government exam periods. Also found a web-site describing how to do home-made chicken essence where one really boils the chicken for several hours to get the juice from the flesh and bones of the chicken; the result is and extract that contains highly nutritious active components like protein, micronutrient, minerals, "amino acids" etc. As I went on, many interesting findings from the web, both negative and positive ones.
I was happy with my "semi"-vegetarian chee cheong fun, it is interesting to choose to eat vegetarian for several days now.

Thoughts: Was really late today, Federal Highway was jam packed at 6:30am, took more than an hour to arrive at KL. Unusual for a Monday to see so many cars on Fed.High as early as 6:30am; I guess 6:15am or earlier will cut the travel time at least 20-25 minutes to KL. 
Planned for O'Brien's western breakfast at Holiday Inn, but too lazy to walk and ended up at Genting Hawkers to try to noodles at Chun Kee. Chu Kee offers Asam Laksa, Curry Laksa, Fish Ball Mee, Lam Mee, Mee Fun Kuih, Prawn Mee, and Yee Mee; all at $5.50 (M) and $6.50 (L). Prices have increased $0.50 since few months ago. 
I am having Fish ball with Rat Noodle for breakfast, soup is not oily and clear, not salty at all; suits me well. On the bowl, there are at least 3 fish ball (nice 弹牙), some bean curds, a generous amount of bean sprouts, few pieces of fish cakes, and some kind of chocolatey color minced meaty thing (definitely not pork as this it is now allowed in this area!), it is likely minced chicken meat! 
Teh Tarik is now $1.30 (+$0.10) since last visit.

Review: The Yam Cake today was bad, it was "wet" and "watery" and tasteless and pure rubbish.
The reason is very clear, the Mom, Son, and another younger female (maybe daughter in law gua) used to just have one stall and at least I think they are still trying their best maintaining some standards. 
Now, the Mom took over another stall few steps away and whatever new their doing and as well as whatever "old" stuff they are selling is rubbish! "Greed", nothing but Greedy people. There goes the old saying "Never bite off more than you can chew"!
Like that, soon will "close shop", I mean both old and the new stall.
I took a bite, that was it.
Luckily, the faithful Teh Tarik saved my morning!

Thoughts: This Won Ton Mee stall here at Genting Hawkers has changed ownership a few months back. It was taken over by an old lady. The Mee and Cha Siew did not suit my taste! I am not even sure if the Cha Siew was chicken or pork as I don't think pork is allowed at Genting Hawkers! The 菜心 has yellowish leaves on one side so I left it alone. 
If there are no improvements, I doubt the stall can last long.

Thoughts: Today, even the traffic to KL before 6:30am was unusually crowded, maybe most people really decided its time to show up in the office and do some work before the annual bonus announcements. 
Nevertheless, today is 十二月初十五 which means another 15 days to Chinese New Year! 
Coming back to the food, its Malay style meehoon and "maggie" mee (I think), I picked up a boiled egg and a fried egg! Simple food just to start the day!

Review: Several hawker stalls here at Wisma Genting are my favorite food places in the morning. But this stall offers different selections on different days of the week, I guess she wants to specialize some noodle offerings on differing days. Nice.
