Thoughts: I noticed there is a Family Mart at PJ AmCorp Mall; wanting to try the Guan Dong Zhu 關東煮, I planned a detour to AmCorp Mall on my way back home via Federal Highway; but thinking about the heavy traffics at that Highway around 5-6pm and parking woes around AmCorp Mall, I gave up that idea. Instead, I walked to Jalan Raja Chulan's Family Mart to try out the Taiwanese Street food. 
關東煮 GuanDongZhu is very popular in Taiwan as a street food; but it's real origin is from Japan. The dish was introduced to Taiwanese cuisine during Japanese rule and is referred to in Taiwanese Hokkien as "Olen". But the real Japanese name of 關東煮 GuanDongZhu is called "Oden" (おでん). Oden (おでん) is a Japanese one pot winter dish consisting of several ingredients such as boiled eggs, daikon, konjac, and processed fishcakes stewed in a light, soy-flavored dashi broth. Ingredients vary according to region and between each household.. More recently, Oden is offered in convenience stores where it is sold as guāndōngzhǔ (關東煮, from Kansai). 
FamilyMart (ファミリーマート Famirīmāto) is a Japanese convenience store franchise chain. FamilyMart is Japan's 2nd largest convenience store chain, behind 7-Eleven. It started its convenience store venture in Malaysia last year in 2016. 
The Raja Chulan Family Mart offers 關東煮 GuanDongZhu in Tom Yam broth as well as light dashi broth (I think). The choice I selected goes into a paper bowl with the soup, really not too bad as as dinner tonight!

拿铁 Latte $6.50 Thoughts: I wanted to try the Taiwanese 關東煮 Guan Dong Zhu in perhaps the only shop in Malaysia (or I think at least in KL) that is selling it, which is at Family Mart located at the left entrance of Wisma Lim Foo Yong. But at 7:30am, the 關東煮 pots are still empty and according to the workers, it is only ready maybe after 9am. I shall come here for lunch next time to try it out.
Nevertheless, Family Mart offers a variety of breakfast choices, from Sandwiches ($4.50-$7.90s), Nasi Lemak, Japanese Onigiri ($4.20s), Bento ($7-$8+), Salad boxes ($5-$6+), Pasta, Salad, and western pastries. The coffee starts at $5.50-$9.50 (America, Latte, Cuppucino, Mocha, Hot or Ice versions).
I had the Dim Sum for Breakfast ($4.90 for 3 pieces, individual pieces are at $2/pc), I choose the Chicken Dumpling, Mushroom Dumpling, and Salted Egg Dumpling (there are 5 choices to choose from). You can also choose to have 糯米鸡 Loh Mai Kai at $3.90 or Baos ($2.50-$2.90) from BBQ Chicken, Curry Chicken, Red Bean, and Kaya Bao. It is really unlike eating at a real Chinese Dim Sum restaurant, it is an experience to have Dim Sum at a convenient store! The Latte was acceptable, I think McCafe is cheaper and better.
Family Mart is at Lim Foo Yong (Jalan Raja Chulan), PJ AmCorp Mall, Mid Valley, KLIA2, MRT Tun Dr Ismail, SS15, Jalan Sultan, Taylor Lakeside, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Changkat Bukit Bintang, NU Sentral, Sunway Velocity, Sunway Medical Centre, and Menara CitiBank. Family Mart will be offering new services in 2017 including Pay all Bills, Print Photos, Free in-store Wifi, Send/Collect Packages at the Store, etc (see their http://familymart.com.my/services.html website).
Family Mart is owned and operated by Poultry egg and meat producer QL Resources Bhd, plans to expand into the convenience store business by becoming a master franchisee of FamilyMart, the world’s second largest convenience store chain after 7-Eleven. FamilyMart Co Ltd has more than 17,000 stores in seven countries, including China, Indonesia and Thailand. QL aims to have 300 FamilyMart stores in Malaysia in five years, with the first to be opened in December, 2016.
