Owned and run by a Korean husband-and-wife duo, SUWON BBQ at Sunway GEO Avenue is an authentic Korean restaurant. The restaurant brings traditional flavors straight from South Korea to Subang Jaya, Malaysia. SUWON BBQ's signature Korean Barbeque is their 用炭火烤製的肉類 charcoal-grilled meats 包裹在獨特的春捲皮中 wrapped in unique spring roll wrappers 而非普通的生菜葉 rather than just standard lettuce leafs. In 韓國 Korea, 水原市 Suwon City is very famous for its 招牌烤牛小排 beef short rib barbecue known as Suwon Galbi (or wang galbi, meaning "大排骨 jumbo-sized beef ribs"). 水原市 Suwon City's official mascot is Suwoni, a cheerful character inspired by the endangered 水原樹蛙 Suwon Tree Frog, AND there is one in 粉紅色的水原蛙 pink color Suwon Tree Grog sitting at the entrance of the restaurant greeting customers. 

But today's lunch is the F&B's rm$27.90 "韓國石鍋拌飯 Dolsot Bibimbap" with comes with unlimited refill of "Banchan". 

"韓國石鍋拌飯 Dolsot Bibimbap" traces its general roots to the 朝鮮王朝的古代韓國 ancient Korean mixed rice dish goldongban from the Joseon Dynasty, while the 特殊的加熱石鍋 specific heated stone pot (dolsot) innovation was developed in 1969 in Jeonju, South Korea, by Namgung Seong, owner of the restaurant Jungang Hoegwan, to keep the food warm. 韓國石鍋拌飯 Dolsot Bibimbap became popular due to its 滾燙的石鍋能保溫食物 hot stone bowl keeping food warm, the 形成酥脆的米飯外殼 crispy rice crust it creates, and an 誘人的滋滋聲 appealing sizzling presentation.

Last time here was almost 7 years ago, and today was here for a lunch of rm$19..80 "牛肉培根酪梨吐司 Beef Bacon & Avocado Toast" which comes with:

If you prefer Sourdough bread, the brunch menu comes with a 5 choice recipe that also comes with a complementary drink (which start at 8:30am)! There is also a rm$10.90 Lunch item of "Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah". A heavier lunch set with a cup of hot drinks for around rm$20+ that comes with 意麵 Pasta, 拉麵 Ramen, 牛肉飯 Beef Rice, 雞扒等 Chicken Chop etc (8 choice menu) should likely please many. 

Sunway Geo's "Flower Girl Coffee" is highly regarded for its beautiful, Instagram-worthy ambiance with a 玻璃屋主題 Glass-House theme and 充滿花卉元素的裝飾 floral-inspired aesthetics. The Cafe serves a wide variety of 各式西式 Western and 融合菜餚 fusion dishes, 特色咖啡 specialty coffee, and 糕點 pastries, while also acting as a cozy venue for intimate events and corporate gathering.

Thoughts: Opened in September.2025, the latest F&B in Sunway Geo "付小姐在成都 Miss Fu in ChengDu" offers authentic 川菜 Xichuan Cuisines. AND not just 招牌四川麻辣串串 signature Sichuan style Mala Sichuan Style Mala Skewers (冷鍋 dry and 川麻鍋 soup based)! There are unique Sichuan cuisines like the "冒腦花 Poached Pig Brain" and "芸豆蹄花 Pork Trotter Soup". Not forgetting 重慶和四川辣麵 Chongqing and Sichuan Spicy Noodles! 

Lunch today is the rm$13.80 "重慶酸辣粉 Chongqing Sour & Spicy Noodle" which even at the lowest spiciness level is already quite challenging. Nevertheless, the rm$28.80 "翘腳牛肉 Signature Boiled Beef" was definitely worth ordering. The later is probably also referred to as "水煮牛肉 Sichuan Boiled Beef", said to be a Classic Sichuan dish (maybe the Spicy version is more common) BUT today is a non-spicy soup based based boiled beef and boiled cow tripe (cow stomach) sitting on boiled crispy cabbage. The soup is really quite appetizing! 

Sichuan food is interesting because it's defined by its unique "麻辣味 Mala" flavor, a combination of spicy and numbing sensations, not just heat. This distinct taste comes from using 四川花椒 Sichuan peppercorns, which create a tingly, electric-like numbness, and dried red chilies, which provide a fiery kick. Historically, this spicy profile developed as a way to 四川地區潮濕的氣候 combat the humid climate in the Sichuan region, helping people sweat and expel "dampness" according to traditional belief. Order a bowl of the restaurant's "重慶酸辣粉 Chongqing Sour & Spicy Noodle" HERE and you will know what I mean!
