Thoughts: Last visit to USJ9's YMT was in March 7th this year! Today's dinner is the new Nasi Lemak for rm$13.90 (promotion price) for the "蘭花椰漿飯 Pea Flower Coconut Rice" which comes with the 蘭花椰漿飯 Pea Flower Coconut Rice, 土豆和蘑菇的濃咖哩醬 thick curry sauce of potato and mushroom, 炸平菇 fried oyster mushroom, 泡菜 pickles, 長豆 green long beans, 黃瓜 cucumber, 櫻桃番茄 cherry tomato, 參巴醬 sambal, and 印度飛餅 papadam, plus 堅果 nuts, and 素炸鳳尾魚 fake vegetarian anchovies!

Thoughts: The rm$13 "擂茶飯(糙米) Lei Cha (Brown Rice)" was fairly large portion, displayed as YMT's signature dish. It is definitely an acquired taste dish (slightly bitter and sweet (甘甜). The main bowl comes with both generous amount of 糙米 brown rice as well another large bowl of "green tea" (not as thick as I imagined). Topping the brown rice was a variety of 蔬菜 greens, 花生 peanuts, 豆腐塊 tofu cubes, and some 種子 seeds! Lei Cha is essentially a vegetarian dish but a non-vegetarian Lei Cha variant may also come with 乾蝦米 dried shrimps and 大蒜 garlic!

The last time having Lei Cha was in Oct 31st, 2016 at USJ10's BMS Organics!

The Lei cha (擂茶) or literally "Thunder Tea" is a type of ground tea which is a traditional 中國南方茶飲料 Southern Chinese tea-based beverage or 粥 gruel (some type of cereal). The custom of Lei cha began in the 三國時代 Three Kingdoms period or even 漢朝 Han Dynasty. It is very widely favored among 客家人 Hakka people in Hakka regions of 台灣 Taiwan like in the city of 桃園市 Taoyuan. The dish is brought by China Hakka people to 台灣 Taiwan, 印尼 Indonesia, 馬來西亞 Malaysia, and 新加坡 Singapore. In the old days, the tea is drunk for breakfast or on cold winters as a tasty and healthy meal choice. Today, Lei cha may also be taken as a dietary brew. 

USJ 9's 園滿天素食坊 YMT Healthy Vegetarian was formerly called "一如健康素食 ERU Healthy vegetarian" and has been in USJ 9 since 2009. YMT's 2021 new menu is impressive! Not just Single dishes and daily promotions but also dishes for meals and even special sets for 10 people at rm$888 value, and one that claims all recipes comes without MSG, no artificial coloring, or preservatives.
