Thoughts: Laksa promotion from March 2 to March 14 (around 2 weeks) for D'Laksa's Buy 1 Free 1 Laksa for rm$9.90 (which is rm$4.95 per bowl). 

The Laksa chain started in 2012 by a Penangite and to-date, has perhaps around 60 locations across Malaysia (mostly as Kiosk in Malls) including some locations in Sarawak. Among the Laksa variants here are the Asam Laksa, Asam Lobsterball, Asam Fish ball, as well as Fruit Rojak. 

In Malaysia, the earliest variant of laksa is believed to have been introduced by the Peranakan Chinese in Malacca. The name laksa is derived from the word "辣 spicy" and grainy or "沙 sandy" in the 閩語 "Min Chinese" (中國福建 from Fujian in China), which denotes the 辛辣的口感和顆粒感 spicy taste and the grainy texture (either from grinding onion, granules of fish or meat, or curdled coconut milk) of laksa, since the 土生華人 Peranakan Malay is a 克里奧爾語言 Creole language that is heavily influenced by a 閩南語 dialect of Hokkien.

The promotion price of rm$4.95 for the 2 weeks Ramadahan comes with a bowl of Asama Laksa curry broth which isn't that spicy with lots of onions, cucumber, and some mackerel fish meats. Another packet are more cucumber and 生菜 lettuce, and of course the 虾膏 Shrimp Paste that is a must for any Asam Laksa adding that salty, fish and pungent taste to the concoction.

Thoughts: Netizens highly recommended the stall's "Sibu Foochow Red Wine Mee Sua or Sarawak Laksa" but the corner shop-lot kopitiam offers at least 10 stalls:

Today's breakfast is a rm$10 "沙撈越喇沙 Sarawak Laksa", a sumptuous bowl of thick Laksa gravy with the Laksa noodle topped with generous chicken slices and a few prawns. The Sarawak Noodle stall offers 扁肉麵/湯 Bian Rou Noodle/Soup, 沙撈越乾盤面 Sarawak Kampua Mee, 沙撈越清湯麵 Sarawak Soup noodle and 沙撈越叻沙 Sarawak Laksa; all from rm$8 to rm$11. 

順德茶室 Restoran Sung Teck is part of Puchong Bandar Puteri, off the trunk road of Lebuh Puteri and just behind Colombia hospital. There are several (maybe 4) Chinese Kopitiam in this part of Bandar Puteri worth exploring! AND parking here early morning should not be too challenging BUT around or after 8am will gradually see the MPSJ parking slowly fill up; however there are ample road should parking opposite the Kopitiam.

Thoughts: Unfortunately the All-day big-breakfast with Coffee is only available from 8am to 3pm! For dinner today is a rm$13 "椰奶叻沙 Lemak Laksa (fatty Laksa)", a popular Southeast Asian dish and many would claim that it is one of the national foods of Singapore and Malaysia, Laksa or Lemak Laksa is a thick spicy coconut noodle soup typically topped with prawns, cockles, fish cakes and beansprouts. The noodle dish is contains the influences of cooking methods from Chinese, Malay, and other cultures AND the Laksa is a popular spicy noodle soup from the Peranakan culture; thus some stories say that it is a dish originating from Peranakan cuisine. 

The Doi Chaang Caffe's version of the Lemak Laksa comes in a thick spicy coconut broth, and a spoon of shrimp paste (or "蝦膏 Heko"); with lots of dried chilies, shallots, turmeric, lemongrass, tamarind, and galangal and fish meat; and of course the Laksa noodle. ALL in all, very interesting!

The "檳城鯉魚包 Penang style Otak-Otak" is really funky, always thought that it belongs to those food genre which is an acquired taste to it, just like Tempoyak (maybe).
