叉烧云吞去全蛋面 $6.5 
Thoughts: I already tried the $5 Monday Hakka Noodle. After quite a long time away from KL (exactly 3 weeks). Today is the first day back to do some teaching in KL. 
With the new Honda HRV, and first day driving it to KL! I did not want to wonder too far. But I did at least surveyed for an indoor parking for the HRV next time, which is HLA (which seems to be still open for a flat $12/day if entering before 9am and leaving after 4pm!) However, no written signs anywhere to show that! The HLA Parking office confirms it but I am still not sure yet, so next round of KL training only will park here!
Instead of the Hakka Noodle which I already tried, I ordered the 叉烧云吞去全蛋面, oh, a little more expensive than their $5 Monday Meal but did not meet my expectations. Even the Won Ton was interestingly smallish and totally not sure about its content.

Thoughts: SUNWAY Pyramid is ushering in the Chinese New Year with a Spring Flower Market featuring more than 50 types of flowers by Fleurs@Marrakesh, a specialty florist outlet in the mall. Located in the mall’s Blue Atrium, the Spring Flower Market showcases all sorts of house plants, from cactus to the phalaenopsis, a type of orchid popular for home decoration.
It is interesting to see a lot of greens here at this mall. I did not have time to venture to other Concourse as it was already late after dinner. 

KL Pavilion's 2017 Chinese New Year Decoration USJ 21

Thoughts: Was here yesterday to east the mind after class and did some CNY shots at Pavilion. The flying Phoenix at the concourse area was the main attraction but unfortunately the concourse was closed for Carlsberg's block party event. 
The theme at Pavilion this year was "“The Rise to Opulence”. Naturally its an "Ong" word as Opulence = Prosperity or Wealth and everyone likes to hear of increasing prosperity and wealth!
So, I went back the Pavilion next day to the concourse area to check out for any interesting stuff. The flying Phoenix was still too difficult to photograph using a phone camera, could not get any good angels and framing to get the shots I wanted.  

Main Place's 2017 Chinese New Year Decoration USJ 21

Thoughts: First glimpse of our local mall in USJ with Chinese New Year Decorations. The switch from Christmas Decorations has to be quick as the CNY is just 3 weeks from now. The Color is Red and Gold with Golden rooster eggs! The theme this year at MP is 金鸡鸣春 "Golden Rooster singing the New Year" (I think!); although in english seems "The Joy of Reunion", don't see any correlation between the Chinese and the English words.
But I guess it does not matter, as there were really a lot of Golden Eggs everywhere in the decoration.

Thoughts: The annual CNY Light Festival 平安灯会花艺展 at Dong Zhen will be coming to life from 25 January - 12 February. I have always been a fan of this annual light festival but visiting here around the busy nights of CNY is really not a good idea unless you like the crowd. I think on the week nights before and after CNY would probably be a better idea. I remember there was one year where I came here on a night where the Prime minister was also visiting, that was a terrible night of traffic congestion of both cars and people. 
There were only a few lanterns under construction at last time I was here for the seminar and Mantra writing a month ago. But from now it is less than 3 weeks to its official opening, Today there were many Roosters, and little chicken already completed, some very huge ones are still in the midst of construction! I do think it is all coming together well and looking forward to see them lighted up in the evenings of Chinese New Year soon.
