Thoughts: Last visit to USJ20's "娘惹茶餐室 Restoran Nyonya Goh" was July 12, 2022 and this restaurant opened somewhere in December 2018 and survived the Pandemic via offering Take-aways option for USJ folks. There was this "招牌鴛鴦飯 Signature Yin Yong Rice" at rm$8.50 sampled on Day 416 of the MCO 行動管制領 Covid-19 on May 5, 2021 which I wanted to try again today! The restaurant offers main noodles for breakfast in the morning and "小炒 xiao chao" form lunch onwards.

Unfortunately, the shop lot is now taken over by a new eatery "四大才子燒臘店 4 Superstars Restaurant" for about a month now. The new shop offers 燒臘 Shao La with roasted items like 燒肉 Roasted Pork, 叉燒 Charsiew, and 燒鴨 Roasted Duck  and 燒鴨 Roasted Chicken! from rm$7 to rm$23 with the ultimate 四大天王 Four Combo that comes with all 4 meat choices. Another menu offers 7 vegetables "湯類 Soup type" choices with the 酸辣芥菜 Signature Sour Spicy Vegetables all at rm$7 per portion.

The menu prices are for Meat choices with Rice only, for Wanton Mee will have to add rm$2 and so it is rm$12.50 for today's "叉燒燒肉雲吞麵 Charsiew Roasted Pork Wanton Mee". The plate comes with generous portion of Wanton noodles with good Charsiew and Roasted Pork, on the side are some steamed vegetables and the plate is stopped with 蔥 green onions and 豬油炸 fried pork lard. 

Looking forward to sample the new eateries' signature 燒鴨 Roasted Duck.

Thoughts: 仟兩金燒臘 Restoran Xen Gold Filed, the 專門燒臘店 specialty roasted shop is sandwiched between 好意記 Hoo Yee Kee 1&2 Kopitiam, and 3 more Kopitiam: 九五之尊 Meranti Jaya 95, 威威美食坊 Restoran Wai Wai and 老林茶室 Kedai Kopi Uncle Lim. The 5 multi hawker stall Chinese Kopitiam also offers 燒臘 roasted hawker stalls but unfortunately 仟兩金燒臘 Restoran Xen Gold Filed as a specialty 燒臘 roasted shop was quite a disappointment.

In Puchong's Taman Meranti Jaya, just this single road along Jalan Meranti Jaya 2/7, there are 5 Chinese Kopitiam (not sure if there are any other single roads in the whole of PJ district that has that many Chinese Kopitiams):

仟兩金燒臘 Restoran Xen Gold Field offers: 燒肉 Roasted pork, 叉燒 Charsiew, 燒鴨 Roasted duck, 滷鴨 Braised duck, 滷蛋 Braised Egg, 燒鴨 Roasted chicken with either Rice or Wanton Mee. The shop does not offer Kopi or Tea but water and Chinese Tea are FREE! Today's Charsiew looks good but not as tender as what it looks, roasted pork skin was crunchy but not as fresh and slightly too salty for my liking; the same with the Wanton Mee sauce which was too salty. Neverthess, I was the only customer in this specialty roasted shop while all other 5 multi-hawkers kopitiam are with many customers on a Thursday morning. The shop also offers 燒鴨 Roasted duck, 滷鴨 Braised duck, and 滷蛋 Braised egg and maybe those are the shop's signature specialties! And yes, no need to pay for drinks here if you don't mind to having self-service FOC 清水 plain water or 中國茶 Chinese Tea.
