Thoughts: This is the 3rd visit to Kenny Hills Bakers in The Library by BookXcess in Sunway Square. Founded in 2014 by former filmmaker Mr. Au Tai Hon in Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur, Kenny Hills Bakers began as a small, 383-square-foot neighbourhood cafe focusing on artisanal breads, pastries, and coffee. Known for its rustic, community-driven charm, it has grown into a premier Malaysian hospitality group expanding across the Klang Valle with 12 locations now in KL (10) and Penang (2 locations) today:

腰果脆沙拉 Cashew Crunch Salad: 

• Base: 切碎的捲心菜 A mix of fresh 生菜 lettuce and 羽衣甘藍 kale (maybe others)

• Crunch: 烤腰果 Roasted cashews, 脆餛飩皮 crunchy wonton strips (I think).

• Protein/Vegetables: 水煮蛋 Boiled egg, 小番茄 cherry tomatoes
• Flavor Boosters: 切碎的蔥花 Green onions, 新鮮香菜 fresh cilantro, 起司塊 Cheese bites

• Dressing: Sone type of 濃鬱的芝麻醬 tangy sesame-based dressing (I think).  

I think customer can also 選擇添加蛋白質 choose Protein Add-ons like 烤雞 grilled chicken or 蝦prawns/shrimp in selected branches (with Added costs).

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Subang Parade launched its current outlet with a "brand new style" around 9 years ago on November 27, 2017 (according to a Web Article). The outlet, is located at G25C on the Ground Floor in SS16's Subang Parade. 

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf originated in 1963 in 南加州 Southern California, founded by Herbert and Mona Hyman to bring premium, 歐式咖啡 European-style coffee to the U.S.. The first location opened in the 布倫特伍德社區 Brentwood neighborhood of 洛杉磯 Los Angeles. The chain is famous for creating the original 冰沙飲品 Ice Blended drink in 1987. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf came to Malaysia in 1997, opening its first store at 武吉免登 Bukit Bintang's KL Plaza (from around 2010's renovated by Pavilion Group and rebranded as Fahrenheit88) in 吉隆坡 Kuala Lumpur. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) has rapidly expanded in Malaysia, reaching its 200th store milestone by the beginning of 2025, with some locations featuring 免下車取餐選項 drive-thru options often located at 加油站 petrol stations and 主要住宅區 key residential areas like Shell Cyberjaya.

Thoughts: The "墨西哥辣椒奶油起司貝果 Jalapeno Cream Cheese Bagel" rm$13 comes with basic cream cheese at today's breakfast in USJ10's "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf". A better bagel spot in USJ10 is at "YODMilk Shop" which is a half-shop-lot along USJ10/1B offering affordable hot drinks of Coffee, Latte as well as the shop's specialty bagel choices!. 

A 貝果 bagel is a 口感紮實 dense, 有嚼勁的麵包 chewy bread product traditionally made from 酵母小麥麵團 yeasted wheat dough, shaped by hand into a ring, boiled, and then baked. Known for its shiny crust and soft interior, it is often topped with 種子 seeds or 鹽 salt and commonly served sliced, toasted, and paired with 奶油乳酪 cream cheese, 煙燻鮭魚 lox, or used for 三明治 sandwiches. Today's choice of bagel is infused with 墨西哥辣椒 Jalapeno; bagels offered at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf comes with topping choices of 墨西哥辣椒起司 Jalapeno Cheese, 義大利辣香腸 Pepperoni, 罌粟籽 Poppy Seeds, 抹茶貝果 Matcha Bagel, 洋蔥貝果 Onion Bagel, and 烤椰香貝果 Toasted Ketayap Bagel. 

貝果起 Bagels originated in the 猶太社區 Jewish communities of 波蘭 Poland, with the first known mention in 1610 in 克拉科夫 Kraków (波蘭南部 Southern Poland). They were developed as a 先煮後烤的麵包 boiled-then-baked bread, likely evolving from similar 波蘭環形麵包 Polish ring-shaped breads, and became popular due to their chewy texture and ability to be easily transported or stored. They were brought to 猶太移民將這種麵包帶到了北美 North America by Jewish immigrants.

Yes, 貝果起 Bagels have become quite popular in Malaysia, especially in the 巴生谷地區 Klang Valley (吉隆坡 Kuala Lumpur and 八打靈再也 Petaling Jaya), where they have blossomed from a niche offering into a full-fledged culinary trend. While once 稀有的進口食品 considered a rare, imported treat, many 貝果專賣店和咖啡館 specialty bagel shops and cafés have emerged recently to meet demand. YODMilk Shop at 54, USJ 10/1B is one such example in USJ10 Taipan!
