Thoughts: Driving into Kampung Baru Puchong batu 14 along Jalan Puchong Batu 14 found this Cafe called "Haus 7 Cafe", it is about 500m from 蒲種漢民華小 SJK (C) Han Ming. The Café looks like it is converted from a Bungalow house in the rural-urban fridge of Puchong town. Customer can probably just park along the main road's road shoulder or drive up the slope next to the Bungalow Café to park at the empty piece of land next to it. 

Menu includes 意大利面 Pasta, Rice dishes, 烤雞 Roast/Grilled chicken from rm$12.80 onwards. Beverages are 咖啡 Coffee, 茶 tea, non-coffee, ice blended, and 無酒精雞尾酒 Mocktails. Also available are lunch sets that comes with a main course and a beverage. The menu here isn't extensive but definitely looks appetizing. 

Today's drop by is for a cuppa but ended up with just a mocktail of 橙汁 Orange Juice +  濃咖啡Espresso, and interesting blend of Orange Coffee that "Haus 7 Cafe" offers it as "Sunset in 'd Haus"! It is interesting to note that some research found that Orange Juice do more to boost alertness, concentration and reaction times than Coffee and there are coffee shops that sells this drink but this interesting cup of coffee may not be the "cup of coffee" for everyone.

This quaint little Café deserves a visit, for perhaps what is offers for a dining experience in the kampung-like neighborhood; which is just maybe 5-10 minutes drive from the heart of Puchong town area.

Thoughts: Back to Puchong Kampung Batu 14 for Restaurant King's 腸粉 Steamed Vermicelli Roll. Was here just a few days ago for the Roasted duck and Charsiew take-away. But besides, 燒臘 Roasted items with rice and 腸粉 Steamed Vermicelli Roll, Restaurant King also offers 蒸飯 Steamed Rice, 點心 Dim Sum, 粥 Porridge, and 燉湯 Soup. 

The Restaurant offers 13 variants of Cheong Fun from rm$3.50 to rm$7. For lunch, it is the rm$7 Specials items that includes everything in the Cheong Fun which is the "蝦肉碎蝦米菜腸粉 Prawn Pork Dried Shrimp Vege Steamed Vermicelli Roll", the Cheong Fun is freshly made-to-order, likable although slightly salty! 

Fun Facts: "Steamed Vermicelli Roll or Steamed Rice Roll" or "腸粉 Cheong Fun" is likely a Cantonese dish originating from 廣東Guang Dong,  中國 China. If it is as advertised, "廣東石磨腸粉" where the Cheong Fun liquid is made with a some kind of rice grinding stone, before the liquid is steamed and rolled into Cheng Fun. This dish is a popular 廣東特色早餐 breakfast item in Guang Dong. Unlike Hong Kong Cheong Fun which is usually served with prawns or charsiew; the Guang Dong style is steamed with 蝦 prawns, 肉碎 minced pork, 蛋 egg, 菜 vegetables, and 蝦米 dried shrimps, some even include 牛肉 beef. 

Because this is a Kampung area, parking along the road shoulders is probably just fine; the shop itself offers a couple of parking at its entrance as well as Lorong Jejawi. It only offers breakfast and lunch, until 1:30pm, and customer can dine-in the shop's air-conditioned room.

Thoughts: Located along Lorong Jajawi (which is the side road), while interestingly Google Map does not show the name of the access road to the restaurant, leading from the trunk road of Jalan Puchong Batu 14. 

The restaurant name "腸粉王 Restaurant King" which looks like its main dish offering are Guang Dong style "蒸腸粉 Steamed Vermicelli Rolls" which is probably worth sampling, next time! 

But today is take-away "燒臘 Siew Lap" for dinner, perhaps unlucky for today with the "叉燒 Charsiew" which was definitely "不甜有點苦 not sweet but slightly bitter" and perhaps also "太燒焦了 too charred". I am sure the chef makes better char siew on better days. 

Nevertheless, the rm$30 "半隻燒鴨 Half Roasted Duck" was not bad.

Maybe the roasted items were not the restaurant's signature, and looking forward to sample their "蒸腸粉 Steamed Vermicelli Rolls" in the near future!
