Thoughts: "大港飯 Nasi Dagang" or "商人飯 Trader's rice" is a traditionally 馬來西亞東海岸 East Coast Malaysian dish consisting of rice steamed in coconut milk, fish curry and extra ingredients such as pickled cucumber and carrots. It is a breakfast food in the states on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia (登嘉樓州 Terengganu, 吉蘭丹州 Kelantan, 彭亨州部分地區 parts of Pahang and 柔佛州東部 Eastern Johor), southern Thai Malay provinces as well as across the Indonesian border in some parts of the Island. 

A trip of the the East Coast isn't complete without savoring both the Nasi Dagang and Nasi Kerabu! Today's breakfast is a rm$4 super affordable "大港飯 Nasi Dagang" with the typical Nasi Kukus with a piece of Fish and salad pickled cucumber and carrots on the side.

Thoughts: Launch in June 2021, the first "Kopi Saigon" store was located in Kampung Datuk Harun (not too far from Bandar Sunway). The creator of the Vietnamese Coffee brand Mr Asyraf Kamal from Seruni Enterprise planned for "Kopi Saigon" branches in locations like Sri Petaling, Bandar Sunway, Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Setiawangsa, Denai Alam dan Gombak with at least 20+ locations in Klang Valley today. 

There are at least 4 of them in Kuantan: Kuantan town, Balok, and this one in Gebeng. The coffee beans are specially imported from Vietnam with interesting choices of the signature Saigon coffee, Black coffee, Mocha, Coconut coffee, Cincau coffee and Yogurt coffee priced from rm$6 to rm$10+.

Thoughts: Not surprising to find a Chinese Coffee shop here that coffees Noodles and Rice dishes from China; likely due to the ongoing 東海岸鐵路線 MRL East Coast Rail Link that is part of the project that forms part of China's 一帶一路 Belt and Road Initiative. 

The rm$9 "Biang Biang Mian" was definitely worth sampling with excellent home-made Biang Biang noodle topped with generous amounts of 番茄炒蛋 scrambled eggs with tomato, 肉碎 minced meat topped with some spicy chili. Also ordered extra 2 pieces of China style 鹵雞腳 braised chicken feet, nice! Satisfied!

"扁扁麵 Biang Biang Mian" but the actually writing of the word "Biang" comes with 58 strokes which is one of the most complex single character Chinese word! It is one of the top 10 noodles types in China, known as the 最寬麵體 widest noodle in China; which is why it is also called "褲帶麵" or "Belt noodle 皮帶麵". The origin of the noodles is from 陕西 Shaanxi, and despite today's Biang Biang noodle serving isn't the wide flat original version, it was still chewy and tasty.
