Thoughts: Probably not too instagrammable, the Café offers Coffee (Western and Local), Cakes, and Western and Fusion cuisines. LOKL Coffee Co at KL's 敦亨利·李厚植路 Jalan Tun HS Lee, 吉隆坡 Kuala Lumpur may have secured a noticeable amount of expatriates and tourist, but still, it is one of the favorite KL coffee destination for locals as well (maybe for digital nomads too). Beverages (coffee or tea) are from rm$8 to rm$15+, and meals are rm$20+ to rm$45+, and I think Breakfast and Lunch menu are different. There wasn't any noticeable DBKL parking in this area, and if you are not driving; it is better to take the LRT as 占美清真寺站 Masjid Jamek LRT station is around 200m+ to the Café! There is a private parking along Jalan Gereja for rm$5.50 per hour, which is less than 2 minutes walking distance to the Café.

The location of this Café is a two-shop lot almost at the junction of Jalan Tun H.S.Lee and Jalan Gereja. Jalan Tun H.S.Lee was formerly known as Jalan Bandar, and before that, it is called High Street. By the way, Jalan Tun HS Lee was named after the first Finance Minister of Malaysia (1957-1959), 敦亨利·李厚植 Tun Henry Lee Hau Shik (who migrated from China in 1924). Jan Tun H.S. Lee is also one of the longest road (1.8km) through the inner city of KL as the road joins Jalan Petaling going into 茨廠街市場 China Town (Petaling street).
Today's breakfast is a rm$24 "哥倫比亞式炒雞蛋 Colombian Scrambled Egg", 炒蛋 scramble egg with 鱷梨 avocado, 番茄粒 tomato cubes, and on 蔥 spring onions topped with 香菜 parsley sitting on a slice of 酸麵包 sourdough. Maybe a healthy vegetarian breakfast but the price on the high side for the simple ingredients! The scrambled egg dish is called "鸚鵡蛋 Parakeet Eggs or Huevos Pericos" in Spanish because of the bright combination of colors (like the 鸚鵡 Parakeet bird/Parrots). The Colombian style scrambled eggs is a simple Colombian breakfast dish, maybe around 7550 COP (Colombian Pesso) or rm$8 or USD$2 in Colombia. The breakfast dish is popular in 哥倫比亞 Colombia and 委內瑞拉 Venezuela, which can be eaten alone, with bread, usually at breakfast time; or at any time, also as an "玉米麵包 Arepa" filling.LOKL Coffee Co offers around 10+ small tables for 1 person with electrical points, looks like it is a note-book friendly café. BUT there are other tables; both indoors and outdoors (1 long table outdoors) more for dining purpose. The Café has a 3 section layout: the outdoor area with 1 long table with a sun roof (no fan); the 2 indoor areas are because of the 2 shop lots, in one lot are tables for 1-2ppl (some are laptop friendly), and in another lot are probably tables for dining with more seats per table (also with a smaller sun roof). The decorations are not too overwhelming, with white tiled and white brick walls, plus interesting local theme art pieces.
There are more foreigners in the Café today and likely many regulars as well; LOKL must have made its name as a Café spot in KL. BUT the name of the Café "LOKL" sounds like "LOCAL", and is founded by 42 years old local actress 謝麗爾·薩馬德 Cheryl Samad in 2012 (I think) with a Melbourne-style café concept in a colonial shop lot setting. In fact, the glass door into the outdoor seating area shows a Print of "Syarikat KOPI LOKL 咖啡公司 காபி நிறுவனம் COFFEE CO" with Malay, English, Mandarin, and Tamil that all means "Coffee Company"; reminiscent of KL as a "大熔爐 Big Melting Pot" of different races. The location in Jalan Tun H.S.Lee or before independence it was known simply as High Street, indicating the1.8km street's historical significance as it was one of the earliest and most important commercial street in the town. Therefore, I think the name is aptly suited for its location chosen.
Almost next door to LOKL are 2 more Cafes "Kafe Kleptokrat" and "Timothy" as well as a mixture of Indian, Nepal, Malay, and Chinese restaurants/kopitiams, and a Back-packers Hotel.
