But probably one of the most popular food here are 新青山(分行)小炒 "Xin Chin Shan" fried noodles which is only available in the evening session. 新青山 is popular for its 吉隆坡炭燒黑福建麵 Charcoal KL style Hokkien Mee, but today's black mee did not have that "Wok Hei" or charcoal flavor and a little too dry!

There are at least 8 新青山亞華福建麵 Sun Chin Shan Ah Wah Hokkien Mee locations in Klang Valley, I believe 亞華 Ah Wah must be the founder and his kitchen skills are passed to his brothers who then setup shops around Klang Valley. Other than KL black Hokkien Mee, 新青山 signatures are also 扣肉米粉 Fried Mee Hoon with stewed Pork and 生蝦麵 Sang Har (Prawn) Mee.

吉隆坡福建麵 KL style Black Hokkien Mee should not be confused with the 檳城福建麵 Penang Hokkien Mee or the 新加坡福建麵 Singapore Hokkien Mee (lighter color). The secret to the KL style Hokkien Mee is its 豬油渣 pork lard, the 黑醬油 dark fragrant sauce, and the "鍋氣 wok hei (wok thermal radiation)" plus that 紅參巴醬 red sambal sauce.
