Thoughts: The mixed rice shop looks clean both front and back entrance as a few shops here opens both entrance; and therefore cars can be park on either side of the road. 金记好好食菜饭之家 Good Taste Mixed Rice Restaurant in SS14 offers a lot of dishes and at 7pm some dishes already finished (so I think maybe 6pm or earlier should have more choice and fresher dishes to choose from).
My plate's pick includes very tender braised chicken, black bean sauce pork ribs, two yong tao fu, fried egg, luncheon meat, and chinese cabbage, at rm$11.50! (typical mixed rice is rm$5-$7 for 3 dishes, I had a lot more on my plate). The soup the day was old cucumber soup (nice), and free chinese tea. 
The layout of the restaurant from dishes to counter then drinks and soups was good, trays also available. Taste and variety of dishes are acceptable here!
