Thoughts: Last weekend visited ".Luklee Cafe" in Pusat Bandar Puchong, and this weekend  is "Pom Pom by the Corner", corner shop lot next to the "Luklee Cafe". The Cafe offers Western and Thai recipes including Western style 西式全天早餐 All-day Breakfast, 沙拉西式和泰國 Western and Thai Style Salad, 小吃 Finger Foods, 西餐 Western Food (Steaks and Pasta etc), 特色單點 Special Single Meals (炒飯炒麵單座 Rice and Noodles), Dishes for proper meals with rice 叫菜吃飯! 

Today's lunch is a rm$22 "面康 (泰式沙拉開胃菜) Miang Kham (Thai Salad Appetizer)". 面康 Miang kham (泰語 Thai: เมี่ยงคำ) is a 傳統東南亞小吃 traditional Southeast Asian snack (salad or appetizer dish) from 泰國 Thailand and 寮國 Laos. It was introduced to the 拉瑪五世國王的暹羅宮廷 Siamese court of King Rama V by Princess Dara Rasmi. In Laos, most people call it "Miang". The name "面康 Miang Kham" translates to "一口咬的小吃包裹 One Bite Wrap", from the word "Miang" (meaning "用樹葉包裹的食物 food wrapped in leaves") and "Kham" (meaning "一口咬/吃 a bite").

面康 Miang kham is a 休閒食品 snack food still popular in the 寮國地區 Lao regions (泰國西北部地區 North Western region of Thailand), originally using 醃製茶葉 pickled tea leaves (called "Miang" in the northern Thai language). In Thailand, 面康 Miang Kham" is usually eaten with family and friends. It is also popular in the 泰國中部地區 Central Region of Thailand. This dish is mostly eaten during the 雨季食用 raining season for it is then that "大金葉 Bai Cha Plu leaves" are abundantly available, as it grows new leaves and shoots. Also known as "魚薄荷食用葉 Fish Mint edible leaves", are used as a wrapper in the dish "面康 Miang Kham". The traditional Thai dish, containing an assortment of fillings, like 花生 peanuts, 蝦米 dried shrimps, 青蔥 shallots, 酸橙 lime, 辣椒 chili, 鳳梨 pineapples, 洋蔥 onions, 薑 ginger etc. sprinkled with 泰式魚露 Thai fish sauce! 

This herbal snack from ancient 泰國 Thailand and 寮國 Laos offers a unique experience into the food & culture of Thai and Laos with combination of flavors of 甜 sweet, 酸 sour, 鹹 salty and 辣 spicy. Each tasty bite of the DIY wrap of fillings into the "大金葉 Bai Cha Plu leaf" is a sensory experience of 味道 flavor, 質地 texture and 香氣 aromas.

Pom Pom By The Corner CAFE is located at the Quiet area of Pusat Bandar Puchong, the Cafe offers both a homey interior seating area as well as outdoor tables surrounded with lots of greens. AND not just a F&B that offers a mixture of Western, Thai, and Malaysian cooking BUT also probably a watering hole in the evening with some selections of draft beer, Wine, and bottled beers! Maybe also a Pet friendly Cafe!
