Thoughts: "VAPS Nasi Kandar" is a highly popular 嘛嘛檔餐廳 Mamak-style restaurant located within Sunway GEO Avenue in Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya. Situated directly opposite Jaya Grocer, it serves as a major dining hotspot known for fast service and budget-friendly local food. 

The MAMAK is one of the earliest F&B that offers breakfast as early as 7am; and for breakfast is all Malaysian favorites like 椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak, 各種印度烤餅 variety of Indian Roti, 拉茶 Teh Tarik, and 炒麵 Maggie Goreng. 

Today's breakfast is a rm$3 "印度麥煎餅 Chapati" with "卷心菜 Kobis" and "蛋 Boiled Egg" as the sides AND a rm$3.80 "配檸檬紅茶烏 Teh O Lemon Panas Kosong"!

A Chapati (also spelled Chapatti or Chapathi) is a 傳統 traditional, 無酵扁麵包 unleavened flatbread originating from the Indian subcontinent, with with historical roots dating back over 5,000 years to the 印度河谷文明 Indus Valley Civilization. 不使用酵母製作 Made without yeast, it is a daily staple for millions of people across 印度 India, 巴基斯坦 Pakistan, 尼泊爾 Nepal, 孟加拉 Bangladesh, and 斯里蘭卡 Sri Lanka, as well as parts of 東非 East Africa and the 加勒比海部分地區 Caribbean due to historical migration.

Chapati arrived in Malaysia likely during the 十九世紀末 late 19th and 二十世紀初 early 20th centuries, brought over by 北印度商人 North Indian traders and 家庭 families who migrated to then-Malaya during the 英國殖民時期 British colonial era. Chapati in Malaysia is usually found at 嘛嘛檔 mamak stalls, 當地印度穆斯林餐廳 local Indian Muslim restaurants, and 恰巴提專門店 dedicated chapati specialty shops.

Thoughts: The Chapati here is freshly made and can be ordered even for lunch which can go with a small selection of vegetable dishes plus some other meat dishes; and was told customer can even choose the Nasi Kandar gravy for the Chapati. 

Unfortunately, parking here seemed always very challenging and especially meal times of the day. "UBAI Original" is located at USJ1 along the trunk road of USJ 1/20, and not too far from MyDIN. The Mamak's signature is theri Nasi Kandar but the freshly made Chapati was definitely very good as well.

Thoughts: Sri Melur Jaya has been in USJ17 for a very long time (opposite Caltex and behind Weng Soon Jaya), it almost survived the Pandemic BUT finally succumbed to the Covid-19 or what ever other reasons it has to close down. The same location was taken over by another Mamak "Restoran Salim Dheepah Maju"! AND finally, one of USJ residents popular Roti Canai destination return back and it is now at USJ21 (shop lots next to Main Place Mall).

The renewed Sri Melur Jaya at USJ21 is at the ground floor of a corner shop lot, previously the location was Hotel de Art (a Boutique hotel) which now moved to 2nd and 3rd floor on the same shop lot.
