And today's choice of Setiawan or is it Foo Chow street food is the Ah Muk Noodle, the name of the restaurant and so it must be their signature Foo Chow style noodle.

Today's choice of  亞木麵(煮麵) Ah Muk Noodle but I think that the common name maybe is called 福州炒煮面 which is "先炒后焖", the noodle/mee is first fried and then stew! But the variant here today is without the "fried noodle" (just cooked noodle); nevertheless it comes with a bowl of semi-thickened broth which is prawny and porky at the same time! At rm$10, it also comes with a few prawns, fish ball, minced pork meat, sliced fish cake, some vege plus an egg with fried onions; all in very interesting bowl of noodle which left me wondering if this is typical Foo Chow 福州煮麵 or just the 亞木 restaurant's own creation. 

Ah Muk Noodle house still have a lot to offer in their menu and in my Ah Muk to-eat-list in the future are their "Setiawan Kampuan Mee", "Red rice wine Noodle with chicken", "Wanton in something called Loh Lak broth" as well as I think "Fish maw soup called Khor Keu"; there all sound quite interesting. 

Besides Setiawan or Foo Chow style hawker food, the Noodle house also offers a limited selection of Chinese dessert soups!

Thoughts: Last visit to Win Hao for the early morning Dim Sum was August 8th 2019! Hope for an early morning outdoor seating where the owner places tables on the road outside the shop before dawn but according to the owner, MBPJ now fine's rm$1000 for such an "offence". I would have thought that outdoor open air seating more sensible during these Covid-19 period! 
For breakfast, I ordered the highly recommended (newspaper article and internet) Setiawan street food here at 永好点心之家 Win Hao Dim Sum House; the kopitiam offers both Dim Sum and Setiawan hawker foods. Of the 8 choices of Setiawan hawker foods offered here, I am having the "紅酒雞 Red Wine Chicken" which comes with chicken, a bowl of red wine "red" soup and beehoon (nothing else); I cannot find any words to express my liking or not liking this bowl of red wine chicken noodle and therefore will leave it at that! For benefit of doubt, maybe should revisit "Win Hao Dim Sum House" in future for other Setiawan famous street food.

Thoughts: "蛋燕麵 Long Yan" is a 福州 Fuzhou style "egg" noodle, the original style is likely a flat noodle (like pan mee). The version offered by "Ah Muk" is a thick noodle (like the KL hokkien mee), the texture is very similar to "tapioca noodles". Comes in a very thick soup, almost like the Loh mee soup.
The rm$10 蛋燕麵 Long Yan also comes with exactly one prawn, a few fish ball and slices of fish cakes; very interesting bowl of noodle!

Thoughts: So, what is Gang Guong Noodle; after the meal, I still have no idea what's the origin. It comes with kind of 手工面 home-made hand-made noodles which is standard delivery for their noodles unless you specially ask for 米粉 beehoon or 面线 mee sua noodle. Last week 20th April, first time sampled their "福州卤面 Fuzhou Loh Mee" also comes with their hand-made noodle. Conclusion, I liked both. 
The "肉券面 Gang Guong Noodle" is kind of like Wan Ton Mee except the noodle and the 肉券 fried pork rolls (much like an over-sized Lobak) as well as soup with some fish balls; overall, something different, not fantastic but nice.
