Thoughts: One of the most popular Malaysian Street food (maybe for the Chinese Malaysians) are the "Lok Lok ( 淥淥 or even 乐乐(樂樂))", from Penang to Ipoh, KL, Malacca, Kuching and JB; and if remembered correctly the same name of "Lok Lok" in Singapore and Batam! The popular Lok Lok originated in the late 1800s when Chinese immigrants introduced it. The name "lok-lok" means "to dip" in Hokkien, and in Malaysian and Singapore; it is a steamboat-style dish of skewered meats and vegetables that are dipped into hot boiling water to cook. Common ingredients include chicken, squid, prawns, and vegetables.

In Sichuan China, the "Lok Lok" is called "锛锛雞 Ben Ben Ji" and comes with dipped Chili sauce and Oil, Sichuan style "Hot and Spicy Lok Lok"!
