Thoughts: 2-layer Polish Waxing is rm$50 for member (rm$98 for non-members). Throughout the 18 months membership here, the shop at USJ21 have many staff turnover, supervisors seems to be a different one every few months! Luckily, the "old hands" who does the polishing are still around and I do like their handy work, so far. The Polish Wax takes around 60-90 minutes, but today it was almost 4 hours as lots of cars queing for car wash and some waiting for polish/wax.

Thoughts: Even Mr. Tejash, the supervisor has to help out on washing the cars as 3 of his 5 workers just left without notice. It's peak times during Ramadan (almost Raya next week), the 3 workers left for better jobs (few hundred bucks extra). The salary at Shine Shine is around $1500 - $1800 (including place to stay) but they found something $2000++ and so they ran away.
My member card finally arrived after 3 months together with the coupons for the 4-layer treatment. The Coupons are laminated, so no excuse of it being easily destroyed except if misplacing them! the coupons will last me for 3 years where I can do the 4-layer for the Honda HRV every 9 months!

Thoughts: The 4-layer full Polish and wax was done 7 weeks ago! I have not been driving the Honda for awhile and even then, the dust collected and overnight water drops was really punishing the white exterior of the HR-V. After the 1st service at Honda, I have decided for a wash and wax to remove those dirt collected. The 1 hour workmanship was excellent, worth every penny! Job well done.

Thoughts: It's $1899 for 6 times of 4-Layer external and interior treatments, the coupons are valid for 3 years. Paid for with 12 months installment.

Shine Shine is owned by a Datuk Kim, last count is 70 branches! If it is a shop, he buys the shop lot for his business.
I think the nice thing about the membership or coupon is that you can use it for any car as well as the membership perks/discounts. Another thing is that the coupon can be used in any of their outlets. I think the biggest is at Jalan Gasing or is it Puchong!
Mr. Tejash, the supervisor of this branch at USJ 21, and Indian who seems to speak fluent mandarin. Nice young man, explains the stuff I wanted to know before I sign-up!
Membership perks:
. $13 for car wash (instead of $18)
. $32 for car wash with enginer wash (instead of $60++)
. $32 for wax (instead of $90+) he said should do every 2 months
. $52 for polish & wax (instead of $160+) if needed extra
But the entire process was from 9am - around 3pm, that's a long wait for me. And most of the time, they are people working on the car on various stages of the 4-layer treatment.
For the amount of effort I see them put-in to the HR-V, I think it was well worth the $316.50.
Cool for the job well done by Tejash and his guys but it was 6 hours of Marathon wait for me at the shop!
