AND today's coffee is the rm$9.70 "酮黑咖啡 KETO Black" or "防彈咖啡 Bulletproof Coffee" of some people call it "牛油咖啡 Butter Coffee", which is 黑咖啡 Americano (Black Coffee) topped with some 牛油 Butter! In short, the "防彈咖啡 Bulletproof Coffee" is just 黑咖啡 Coffee added with "脂肪 FAT"!

The creator, 戴夫·阿斯普雷 David Asprey (an 美國企業家和作家 American Entrepreneur and Writer), found the recipe while hiking in 西藏 Tibet. The drink requires low-mold coffee beans, two tablespoons of grass-fed butter, which is higher in Omega-3s and vitamins, and two tablespoons of medium-chain triglyceride oil. With that discovery, Dave Asprey has set his sights on living to 180 and in 2011, Mr Asprey introduced the Bulletproof Coffee: a blend of coffee, 中鏈三酸甘油酯 MCT oil and 草飼黃油 grass-fed butter. 

The "防彈咖啡 Bulletproof Coffee" was created initially with the intention to fuel start your day by 取代高碳水化合物早餐 replacing carb-heavy breakfasts with the fat infused black coffee! Especially in America, due to its "Low Carb and High Fat" feature, the drink has become popular with 交叉健身者 Hardcore Cross Fitters, 古飲食 Paleo, 低碳水化合物飲食 low-carb and 酮飲食 keto diet 追隨者 followers as the fat content of bulletproof coffee 減少血糖波動 reduces blood sugar fluctuation, and it may help 减肥作用 weight loss. However, because of the High Fat content, some health experts warn of too much of it can cause 血壓升高 elevated blood pressure and 膽固醇升高 cholesterol; while some reports claims that some people who try butter coffee report experiencing unpleasant side effects like 腹脹 bloating, 腹瀉 diarrhea and an 胃部不適 upset stomach after drinking it.

Thoughts: A new Cafe "Zus Coffee" in USJ21 Main Place Mall, offering alternative Coffee choice to McCafe and Starbucks. The little shop is just opposite Tea-Live and now offering Buy 1 Free 1 promotion until offer ends. There isn't dining tables in the small shop but 4 tables outside at its entrance. At present still only offering drinks but from next week will be serving Pastas when the kitchen is ready. 

In Malaysia, one can have a Kopi for around m$2+ in a Chinese Kopitiam, rm$6+ Latte in McCafe, or above rm$12+ for a Cuppa in Starbucks. Zus Coffee's Latte is priced at rm$8.90 (without offer), is slightly more expensive than McCafe but cheaper than Starbucks! The Coffee comes in a "solid cup", a "Perfect Blue" Signature ZUS Cup; the Cup comes with a sturdy drinking lid and well-designed "sippable" hole.

ZUS coffee started in Dec 2019 and with 50k active App users and 8 outlets across Malaysia (noticed locations are Atria, IOI and 2 just weeks in Main Place).
