Thoughts: Difficult to appreciate the ruins of Moorish styled Kellie's Castle, it is beautiful as well as spooky! The Castle is the brainchild of a Scottish rubber plantation owner, Mr William Kellie Smith to celebrate his child’s birth. It began construction in 1915 and completed in 1926. The original design of Kellie's Castle includes a 6 story tower, tennis courts, rooftop entertainment area, wine cellar, and Malaysia's first elevator! Mr Smith also devised secret tunnels beneath the structure for emergency exits!
