Established in 2018, Ipoh Ais Kopi has become a favourite destination for comfort food and local flavours; Ipoh Ais Kopi, located in shopping centers like Paradigm Mall and MyTown, and in December 2025 opened another outlet in the neighborhood Mall in USJ21. The Malaysian kopitiam 打傳統怡保白咖啡 specializes in traditional Ipoh-style white coffee, 咖椰泡芙 kaya puffs, and 馬來西亞街頭小吃 Malaysian hawker favorites. Thoughts: Boat Noodle restaurants in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya generally receive mixed reviews, with customers praising the taste of the noodles and specialty drinks but often criticizing the small portion sizes! AND like today's dinner are tiny bowls of rm$2.80 Thai Beef Noodles, tasty thai style noodles but definitely small portions. 

Boat Noodle restaurant chain can usually be found only in shopping Malls, primary in Klang Valley with some in the East Coast and up north (in Kedah and Penang), maybe a total of around 45-50 outlets in Malaysia. The "Boat Noodle" brand was founded by Tony Lim in 2014 with its first outlet opening at Empire Damansara. The concept was inspired by the traditional Thai boat noodles sold from boats in Bangkok. Boat Noodle Sdn. Bhd., the company behind the chain, was officially incorporated on July 25, 2014 and later acquired by Japan's Toridoll Group.

(泰語, 俗稱「船麵」) "Kuey Teow Ruer" (in Thai language), commonly known as Boat Noodle, is indeed a delicate dish that originates from the 大城府水上市場 floating markets of Ayutthaya, 泰國 Thailand, and is celebrated for its aromatic and flavorful rich broth and springy noodles served in small bowls. While originally served from boats on canals in areas like 蘭實 Rangsit (Rangsit is a city and neighborhood located in the 泰國巴吞他尼府 Pathum Thani Province of Thailand, 曼谷正北 directly north of Bangkok), most vendors have since moved to land, but the dish still retains its distinctive small-bowl serving style and authentic Thai street food experience.
