Just 2 days ago was the visit to "大馬茶室 Heritage Kopitiam" @ Klang's Berkeley Garden which I believe is their first location and the others are their branches that mushroomed since 2023. Today's visit is their SS19 Branch, an excellent shop lot location away from the bustling SS14,SS15 Subang Jaya area where parking is a challenge all day long. 

Today's breakfast is Bread+Egg+Coffee with Char Koay! 

Local Black Coffee with "You Tiao (Char Koay)" is one of the best combinations for a quick and affordable quick local breakfast, almost anywhere in Klang Valley.

Thoughts: March 05, 2021 is opening of another 急件擼串 Fast Yakitori in 巴生谷 Klang Valley, the establishment is planning at least 30 stalls by the end of March 2021 in a variety of locations across 巴生谷 Klang Valley. Considering that its first stall opened barely 3 months ago, which opened on 聖誕節 Christmas day of Dec 25, 2020 in 雙囍美食阁啤酒园 New Li Garden Food Court in 吉隆坡文良港 KL Setapak. The Non-Halal Chinese style satay called "擼串 Lǔ chuàn"; offers 4 大肉类烧烤, 鸡串 Chicken, 猪肉串 Pork, 牛肉串 Beef, and  羊肉串 Mutton. Not just the 4 meats, but also 蘑菇沙爹, Mushroom satay, 烧烤雞翅 Chicken wings, 魚肉串 Fish, and 魷魚肉串 Squid Satay; all at a fixed price of rm$10 for 20-30 stocks depending on meat type; for rm$10 you can also get 3 Chicken wings. 

"擼串 Lǔ chuàn" is a China style Satay, unlike our local satay that comes with thicker meat portion which cost around rm$1 - rm$1.50 per stock; the Chinese style "擼串 Lǔ chuàn" comes with smaller bite portion on a stick (maybe 1/2 of 1/3 meat portion of our local Satay). The Pork and Chicken variants are rm$10 for 30 sticks which is around rm$0.33/stick, while 羊肉串 Mutton or 牛肉串 Beef or 海鮮肉串 Seafood sticks are price at rm$10 for 20 sticks! There are no sauce that accompany the sticks as the sauce are infused to the meat on the stick when there are grilled. 

The word "擼 Lǔ" seemed an interesting word for example 撸猫 (stroking a cat), 撸串 (串燒 skewer, 燒烤 barbeque or 沙爹 satay) , or even 撸袖子 (roll up the sleeve). "擼 Lǔ" therefore means the action of "動也 an action"! “撸串” 就是吃烧烤的意思, or perhaps the action of grill or barbeque. In China, “撸串” is a popular and unique 夏天独特的饮食文化 summer time food culture all around China, with friends and family 撸串 either at home, restaurants, or the 路边摊 road sides stall; with 一手撸串 a stick in one hand and 一手啤酒 a bottle of beer in the other hand!  

Today is sampling 急件擼串 Fast Yakitori's Pork satay, and will be back for other variants! Fast Yakitori's Pork satay is not the only 猪肉擼串 Pork satay choice in USJ; Damen's Ong Lai also offers 马六甲猪肉沙爹 Malacca Pork Satay, while USJ10's 多間吃擋 Many Woks Street Food Bar offers unique 麻辣豬肉沙爹 "Malak" Pork Satay!
