Thoughts: Opened 5 month ago (16 April, 2022), the new Café "Kichi Cha x Bakery" offers Pastries, Coffee, and Tea in one of the Old shop lots in PJ Seksyen 21's Taman Sea (Sea Park). "Kichi Cha" is a local homegrown teahouse originated from Petaling Jaya, also probably the only Bakery that offers "Customized Sourdough bread" where customer can choose from more than 20 types of ingredients (wassap.my/60164158464). Besides Coffee, Tea, and Sourdough, the Café offers a variety of Pastries and Cakes!

In May 2022, the Café held a Free 先天塔羅佔ト Tarot Reading event, and there is another one that took place Sunday last week! 

The rm$9 拿鐵 Latte was good, couldn't resist an interesting rm$4.50 Japanese pasty "鹽可頌 Shio Pan". 鹽可頌 Shio Pan (塩パン) or Salted Butter Roll (where "塩 Shio" means Salt and "パン Pan" means bread). The 鹽奶油卷 salted butter roll is said to originate from 塩パン屋 パン・メゾン Pain Maison, a bakery in 愛媛縣 Ehime Prefecture, 日本 Japan. At first glance, 鹽可頌 Shio Pan (塩パン) looks like a “dull” looking croissant or crescent roll, but it was an utterly delicious bread with a crisp crust on the outside and incredibly soft fluffy inside with a great buttery salty taste.

Thoughts: Netizens say that this is one of the most authentic 檳城蝦麵 Penang-style Prawn Mee in 巴生谷 Klang Valley. Located at one of the entrance/exit to the Old Sea Park Wet Market, the food truck "益檳城蝦麵阿三叻沙 Aik Penang Prawn Mee & Asam Laksa" has been offering the Penang noodles dishes for at least 25 or more years at the same location. The mobile food truck starts serving Har Mee (or Penangites calls it Hokkien Mee) and Laksa from 12 noon to 5pm except Mondays. (where Pork is not allowed to be sold in Wet Markets, I think). 

The Food truck's signature dish is Penang Laksa, but today for lunch is a rm$9 蝦麵 Har Mee/Prawn Noodle/Penang Hokkien Mee. It is rm$8 for regular and rm$9 for large (rm$1 for a boiled egg!). Customer can choose either 排骨 Pork Ribs, 豬肉片 Pork slices, 蝦 Prawns or 魚 Fish (maybe for the Asam Laksa only) as Add-on with an additional rm$4 per portion! 

No disappointment here on the "Har Mee" except the rm$4 排骨 Pork ribs was expensive; looking forward to sample the Penang Laksa soon!

The "Old Sea Park Wet Market" is located at PJ's Seksyen 21, which is one of the older and earliest suburbs developments in Petaling Jaya (not the same as Taman SEA which is SS23), While Seksyen 21 was developed in the 1960s which is the same as Seksyen 20's Taman Paramount. The Sea Park Wet Market is flanked with several rows of 2-storey shop lots and beyond that 1 or 2-storey residential terrace houses. If you come to the Sea Park Wet early in the morning (except Mondays), especially along Jalan 21/22 (some times referred to as Sea Park Food Street); not just dry foods and vegetable stalls, there are also food stalls here especially for take-away for residents nearby. The Wet Market is a 2-storey complex with the Ground floor as Wet and Dry Market AND the upper floor currently a Recreational Center (but temporary closed likely due to Covid); in the 1970s, it was even a Supermarket. PARKING around Seksyen 21 is always challenging BUT parking at the nearby residential houses is usually possible with a short walk to the SEA Park Wet Market. "益檳城蝦麵阿三叻沙 Aik Penang Prawn Mee & Asam Laksa" is a food truck with make-shift tables; not along Jalan 21/22 but 21/11B (on the other side of the Market) BUT only available from noon to around 5 or 6pm in the evenings except on Mondays.
