Thoughts: This is now 3rd visit to Sunway Pyramid's "香港仔車仔麵 HK Boy Cart Noodle" and last visit was April 23rd (just before MCO3.0), that visit slightly disappointed with the rm$6.90 "港式炸大腸 HK Fried Pig Intestine". 

Today Friday, was a "CRAZY" crowd in Sunway Pyramids, with people taking extra day off for a 4-days break (yesterday was Deepavali!), people are shopping, eating, and just "lepak" around the mall. Some eateries with a long queue, for example the new 馬國明視帝代言 Kenneth Ma Kok Ming "佐敦冰室 Jordan Hong Kong Restaurant", opened just a few weeks ago on the 15th October 2021. Good to see at least security are checking visitors "mySejahteria" App for Vaccination proof at entry points to the Mall.

Love the rm$7.90 "炒滑蛋配奶油多士 Scrambled egg and Butter milk Toast" that comes with 2 slices of toast whipped with condensed milk and butter along with excellent 炒滑蛋 Scrambled egg. 

Fun facts: "炒蛋多士 or 滑蛋土司" or "Smooth fried scrambled eggs with Toast" is a common dish in many Hong Kong Cantonese Style "茶餐廳 Char Chan Teng (Hong Kong Cafes)" or also referred as "黄埔炒蛋 WongPoh Char Dan"; popular for 早餐 breakfast or 下午茶 Tea-time meals. Personally, I think the "炒滑蛋 fried smooth Scrambled egg" offered here at "香港仔車仔麵 HK Boy Cart Noodle" is no slouch. Besides the most basic variant with Toast for rm$7.90; the smooth fried egg can also go with 無骨瑞士雞脾 Swiss Style Chicken Chop or 黑松露 Black Truffle, both variants at rm$13.90 or all of them at rm$19.90. This Hong Kong Cantonese-Style "港式炒滑蛋 Scrambled egg" is highly recommended.

Thoughts: Today's Sunway Pyramid HK Boy Cart Noodle's 港式奶茶 Hong Kong Milk Tea was disappointing (this is probably due to the Milk Tea being mass produced here/readily made in a big pot), so was the rm$6.90 "港式炸大腸 HK Fried Pork Intestine" comes with only one skewer. 

炸大腸  Fried Pig Intestine is one of the must eat skewered treats 香港街邊小吃 street food in Hong Kong; that is if you like these types of  seemingly "unhealthy" deep-fried but surprisingly flavorful 內臟 entrails (similar to another street favorite of 臭豆腐 stinky tofu). For "街頭美食冒險者 adventurous eaters", the 街頭美食 street delicacy is around HK$10 - HK$20 per skewer (rm$5.50 - rm$11), usually comes with 4-5 good size fried pig intestine cuts in a skewer. 

The use of  豬內料理 pork to make any kind of dish, not just as 餐廳菜 restaurant dishes but 街頭小吃或零食 snacks or street food, such treats are particularly popular in the 廣東省南部 southern region of Guangdong and of course its 美食之都 culinary capital, 香港 Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, such street vendors can be found along the busy streets of 旺角 Mong Kok, 銅鑼灣 Causeway Bay, or 太子 Prince Edwards (just to name a few) and many just right at the 地鐵站出入口 Entrance/Exit to MRT stations where street vendors open from early morning till wee hours after mid-nights to satisfy HongKonger's crave for these porky treats and other popular street snacks foods. One of the the many examples of this intensive use of pork in the area is the 炸大腸 fried pork intestines, which combines the 粵式油炸 Cantonese deep-frying technique with the 滷味 Lou Mei ingredient. 豬內臟 Pork entrails are deep-fried in large pieces, skewed in rows in a hot pot of Lou Mei sauce and when ordered, there are then sliced up after the pieces lose some oil. Self service 梅子/海鲜醬 Plum/Hoisin sauce or 芥末醬塑料瓶 plastic mustard dispensers are always available at the hawker counter for a more flavorful treat. The best point of these kinds of 街道零食 snacks are that they are just freshly made and always ready to go (fits right into the busy HongKonger's hectic and always on-the-go lifestyles)!

I have tasted some excellent pig intestines skewers in Hong Kong, which should be a good cut size, with tecture of 外面酥脆 crispy on the outside and Underneath the crunchy layer are the 裡面軟嫩 soft and tender parts of the intestines. Best dipping sauce is probably really only the 芥末 mustard. Perhaps Sunway Pyramids "香港仔車仔麵 HK Boy Cart Noodle" with its signature offering of Cart Noodle isn't good at street foods like the pig intestine, but only offering it just as an expected attraction for being a 香港茶餐廳 Hong Kong Char Chan Teng.

Thoughts: 香港仔車仔麵 HK Boy Cart noodle is probably the first restaurant that brings in the Hong Kong's famous 車仔麵 cart noodle to Malaysia with locations in 檳城喬治敦 Georgetown, PJ's SS2 and SS21, 蕉賴 Cheras, 柏威年廣場 Pavilion, and Klang Bukit Tinggi; and one of its latest venture is at Sunway Pyramids (at the West Wing near to the Sunway Cleo Hotel), the grand opening was on last year August 18th 2020. 

At HK Boy Cart Noodle, it is not just the 車仔麵 Cart Noodle, but also familiar 熟悉的香港街頭小吃 Hong Kong street food such as 咖喱鱼蛋 Curry fish ball, 鸡蛋仔 Hong Kong Egglet, 碗仔翅 "Woon Zai Qi", 香港奶茶 Hong Kong milk tea, and 香港混漿腸粉 Hong Kong style street cheong fun etc. 

Today's lunch is 招牌碗仔翅 Imitation Fin Soup, 瑞士雞翅 Swiss Chicken Wing, 港式餐蛋治 Luncheon Meat and Egg Sandwich0 and 冰鎮奶茶 Ice Milk Tea for Promo price of rm$2 (regular price is rm$5.90)!

The rm$6.90 招牌碗仔翅 Imitation Fin Soup was not bad, wished it came with extra 醋 vinegar. A bowl of "Imitation Fin Soup" is one of most common snacks found offered by little shops across 香港 Hong Kong or 澳門 Macau. Most people understand that the bowl of "Woon Zai Chi" uses 廉價粉絲 cheap vermicelli instead of 昂貴的魚翅 expensive shark fin, and does not contain shark fin ingredients. The recipe is very much a Hong Kong invention; it is said that in the 1950s or 60s, many street vendors already started offering the cheap and affordable "Imitation fin soup" on the streets on Hong Kong; along with vegetables and fish meats.  

The rm$6.90 瑞士雞翅 Swiss Chicken Wing comes with 2 chicken wings, also worth sampling. The "Swiss chicken wings" are a kind of 香港滷水雞翼 Hong Kong style brined (preserved) chicken wings. Although it is named after the country of 瑞士 Switzerland, the recipe does not originate from Switzerland, the name is because it is mainly cooked with some kind of sweetened soya sauce. And the Chinese people just call it "Swis Sos" (Sweet Sauce) in English when introducing the sweetened chicken wings it to English people in the old days; and hence the word "Swiss Chicken Wings"! It is believed the dish was created towards the 清朝末年 end of the Qing dynasty, at 太平坤餐廳 Tai Ping Koon restaurant in 廣州 Guangzhou, often referred to as 中國第一家西式餐廳 China’s first Western-style eatery operated by a Chinese.

The best was the rm$7.90 港式餐蛋治 Luncheon Meat and Egg Sandwich as well as the rm$2 冰鎮奶茶 Ice Milk Tea! Luncheon Meat and Egg Sandwich offered just called 餐蛋治 in Hong Kong, and probably can be found as the menu item in every 香港茶餐廳 Hong Kong Kong Char Chan Teng. It is amazing how a simple concoction of 3 items: 麵包 bread (usually lightly toasted), 蛋 egg (usually scramble), and 午餐肉 luncheon meat can be. (餐 = 午餐肉 Luncheon meat, 蛋 = Egg, and 治 = 三明治 Sandwich 的簡稱. therefore 餐蛋治 = 午餐肉炒雞蛋三明治 Luncheon meat with scrambled eggs on a sandwich bread). The concoction is especially addictive when the luncheon meat is well pan fried but not too oily, along with 嫩滑炒蛋 smooth silky scrambled eggs, sandwiched in a 輕度烘烤麵包 warm and lightly toasted bread! 芝士 Cheese, 奶酪 creams, 蛋黃醬 mayonnaise or any 番茄或辣椒醬 sauce (tomato or chili) will likely destroy the originality of the sandwich.

For meals time between 12noon to 3pm, each meal order will get the rm$2 beverages promo price! The rm$2 冰鎮奶茶 Ice Milk Tea (Bing Zhen Nai Cha) was most enjoyable. 冰鎮奶茶 "Bīngzhèn nǎichá" is said to be created by a very famous 香港茶餐廳 called 太興 Tai Hing Char Chan Teng (at the price of HK$60 - HK$80 per serving). A serving of 冰鎮奶茶 usually comes with a transparent bowl to form ice cubes, and then put the cup filled with 絲襪奶茶 Xi-mut Milk Tea into the ice cube bowl to keep it cold thus without losing the flavor (compared to if the ice were to be filled directly into the cup of milk tea)!
