"Le Kwang 利廣美食中心" is one of 2 Chinese Kopitiam along USJ 2/2C; both are corner shop lots and the other Chinese Kopitiam is "USJ2 美食中心" which is otherwise famous for its Signature stall "鬍鬚佬娘惹咖哩面 Fushou Lou Nyonya Curry Mee". 

The "Home-cook" Thai street food by "Taste of Siam" initially started as a Home-based business around September 2021 BUT it quickly moved into as a stall at the USJ2 Chinese Kopitiam. Then in December 2021, "Taste of Siam" appear as a stall in SS15's "大家美食中心 Big Family Restaurant". The following are the history of visits to "Taste of Siam" at USJ2 or SS15 branches:

Taste of Siam offers their Signature "泰式燉豬蹄飯 Thai Stew Pork Trotter rice", while the "泰式綠咖哩飯 Thai Green Curry Rice" goes out of stock as early as 11am (suggest to go around 9am for the Green Curry Rice!). Other Thai dishes are 泰式豬肉粉 Thai Pork Noodle, 泰國羅勒飯 Thai Basil Rice, 泰國豬肉粿汁粉 Thai Pork Kuay Chap Noodle and 芒果飯 Mango Rice. Prices have increased slightly (around 20% since 3 years ago) and ranges from rm$9 to rm$12 for the above mentioned dishes. 

Today's lunch is the rm$9 "泰式豬肉粉 Thai style Pork Noodle" and for this soup noodle dish, it is probably better to Dine-in at the Kopitiam. AND definitely looking forward to sample Taste of Siam's "泰式綠咖哩飯 Thai Green Curry Rice"!

Today's lunch is 泰國豬肉粿汁粉 Thai Style Pork Kuay Chap Noodle; 粿汁 Kway chap is a 潮州麵湯 Teochew noodle soup consisting of 扁平寬米片 flat, broad rice sheets (粿 kway) in a soup made with 黑醬油 dark soy sauce, served with an assortment of pork cuts including 豬內臟 offal, pork belly, 豬內臟 intestines, and 豬耳朵 pig's ears, 紅燒鴨肉 braised duck meat, various kinds of 豆腐 beancurd, 醃製鹹菜 preserved salted vegetables, and 滷蛋 braised hard-boiled eggs. The dish is popular only in certain states in 馬來西亞 Malaysia, lie 砂拉越 Sarawak, 檳城 Penang, and 柔佛州 Johor states, and in neighboring 新加坡 Singapore and 曼谷唐人街 Bangkok China Town.

The stall started operation since Oct 1 (3 months ago) and has been popular since then, it offers 4 Thai Style dishes: 泰式羅勒炒豬肉碎 Thai Basil Pork Rice, 泰式燉豬蹄飯 Thai Pork Leg Rice, 泰國綠咖哩飯 Thai Green Curry Rice, 泰式綠咖哩雞面 Thai Green Curry Chicken Noodle, 芒果飯 Mango Rice, and 泰國豬肉粿汁粉 Thai Pork Kuay Chap Noodle; prices from rm$7.50 to rm$8.50.

Thoughts: The stall started operation in October 1, "Taste of Siam" is the latest new stall in USJ2's "利廣美食中心 Le Kwang". For 5 days, the stall offers rm$5 Special Deal meal set for 5 days until October. The stall offers only 3 items: 泰式羅勒豬肉飯 Thai Basil Pork rice, 泰式綠咖哩飯 Thai Green Curry rice, and 泰式燉豬蹄飯 Thai Stew Pork Trotter rice (regular price at rm$8 to rm$10). 

For the offer price today of rm$5 "泰式燉豬蹄飯 Thai Stew Pork Trotter rice" or later regular price at rm$10, it is better to have it dine-in when everything is warm on the plate as well as the hot porky sauce. 

Fun Facts: Thai style 慢燉豬腿(或豬蹄)配飯 Slow-Braised Pork Leg (or Pork Trotter) on Rice (ข้าวขาหมู "Kao Ka Moo") is one of the 標準的泰國街頭美食 standard Thai street food dishes. For lunch and dinner, it is like Pork version of the 雞飯 Chicken rice, and something one can find in many street vendors in 曼谷街道 Bangkok streets. And the best ones are not in the fancy restaurants but those offered by unassuming simple shops or make-shift-street vendors along 街道小巷 street alleys and road sides. The best are usually served with 半肥瘦 half-fat-pork trotters (or at least a little bit of Fat)! Sauce are usually 以辣椒和大蒜为基础的醋 vinegar based with chili and/or garlic plus 芥菜 Mustard greens or I think some kind of 醃製蔬菜 preserved vegetables.
