Thoughts: There are 2 Halal "multi-hawker stalls" Kopitiam, one at each corner of SS 5A/9, on one end of the road is "Subang Ria" and the other end is "Restoran Jamal Mohamed". While "Subang Ria" is operated by a Chinese, this one today is a Mamak with a larger number of stalls. 

Here, not just Roti Canai etc, but also a variety of Mamak food plus even Halal Dim Sum, Nasi Kerabu, Laksam, Lontong etc. This corner shop lot offers at least 50 tables with maybe about 150+ customer capacity! As many of the hawker stalls here are managed by individual vendors, not all of the are open on the same days.

Thoughts: "Restoran Ali Food Corner" is a corner shop lot bordering between PJ's Seksyen 21 (SEA Park) and Seksyen 20 (Paramount Garden), and just about 50m from one of the oldest 肯德基 KFC in Malaysia (a corner shoplot along Seksyen 21/19 since the 1970s). PJ Seksyen 21 or SeaPark (not to be confused with SS23 or Taman SEA) is one of the oldest suburbs in 八打靈 Petaling Jaya developed in the 1960s, mainly with 1 or 2-storey Terrance houses, few rows of 2-storey shop lots (valued at least 1.5 to 2.5 million ringgit today), and the iconic 寶石戲院 Ruby Theatre. Despite many obstruction by the Older Sea Park residents in the early 2020, the developer called "MIDAS" got approval from 八打靈再也市政廳 MBPJ to demolish the iconic cinema in November 2020 to make way for the construction of 公寓 Seapark Residences (2 blocks of 24 and 29-storey buildings). "SEA Housing Corporation" (the developer of Sea Park housing then 60 years ago) promised that piece of land 60 years ago to have a 足球場 football field, 籃球場 basket ball court, 電影院 cinema, as well as a 游泳池 swimming pool but ended up to only build the 寶石戲院 Ruby Theatre!

I believe the 嬷嬷店铺 Mamak restaurant used to be operating as a 24-hours operation but now only 15-hours, offering 印度煎餅 Indian Roti in the morning, 印度炒麵飯 goreng-goreng, and 印度雜飯 mixed Indian rice, as well as 椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak for lunch and dinner. The Mamak's night time "椰漿飯配炸雞 Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng" is said rival the nearby famous night time only "屋頂椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak Bumbung" (which is 5 minutes from the shop). Netizens also have positive review of Restoran Ali Food Corner's "淹沒印度煎餅配太陽蛋 Roti Canai Banjir with Telur Mata Goreng". 

Sekyen 21's Restoran Ali Food Corner is a narrow corner shop lot sitting at a slope from Jalan 21/10 going down to Jalan 20/7. Since the shop lot is along the busy trunk road of Jalan 21/10, parking could be challenging after 9am or 10am.

Thoughts: Tosai Rawa (or Rav) is a very different type of Indian Bread. It comes with that pinch of spiciness on the bread itself, you can see some curry leaves that is sticked to the bread itself when it is served. Some versions of Tosai Rawa will have chopped onions, curry leaves, herbs and spices. The variant served at Sri Melur is without the onion. Still, it is an interesting Dosa/Tosai which seems to go well with the Ginger Tea!
