The viral Chinese skewer and barbecue chain 羊不同 Yang Bu Tong originated in 中國 China, 延吉市 Yanji City, 吉林省東部 Jilin Province, 中國 China which was founded in 2009. The brand traces its roots back to Yanji City in the 朝鮮族自治州的延吉市 Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture located in 中國東北延邊 northeastern China, a region known for its unique blend of 東北和韓國烹飪風格 Northeastern Chinese and Korean culinary influence.

While traditional meat skewers historically trace their deepest roots in China to the northwestern region of 新疆地區 Xinjiang, "羊不同 Yang Bu Tong" specifically specializes in 延邊風味 Yanbian-style 炭烤肉串 charcoal BBQ skewers featuring heavy cumin rubs, 獨特的內臟部位 unique offal cuts, and 當地小菜 local side dishes paired with 朝鮮風味 north korean style slushy cold noodles (冰沙冷麵 Lengmian).

羊不同 Yangbutong offers over 30 varieties of beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and seafood heavily seasoned with cumin and spices (with prices from rm$1 to rm$16 per stick). AND waitstaff do not need to constantly monitor or manually flip individual skewers because the tables are equipped with automated, 自動旋轉的炭烤爐 self-rotating charcoal grills; and free replacement for burnt skewers! Customer can also order buckets of 生菜 Lettuce , 將熱騰騰的炭烤肉串包裹在新鮮的生菜葉中 to wrap the hot charcoal-grilled meat skewers (like signature lamb or beef) inside fresh lettuce leaves with 辣椒粉  chili powder, 花生粉 peanut powder, and 無限量供應的調味料 unlimited condiments creates a savory, juicy, and popular flavor combination. 

Besides signatures skewers, the eatery also offer a variety of China cuisines like "重慶豬腦 Chongqing Pig Brain", "韓式辣豬蹄 Korean spicy Pork trotters", "豬肉蘑菇餃子 Pork mushroom dumpling", "豬耳涼拌 Pig ear cold dish", "貴賓羊排 Vip lambchop", and many more.

Thoughts: The Japanese restaurant "R for Ramen" was replaced recently by a Chinese cuisine restaurant "杭州興籠記 Hing Leong Kee" that offers 小籠包 Xiao Long Bao, 煎包 Jian Jiao, 水餃 Shui Jiao, 蒸餃 Steamed Dumplings PLUS their 招牌麵條 Signature Noodles bowls including 牛肉麵 Beef Noodles, 涼麵 Liang Mian, 重慶麵 ChongQing noodles etc. Another Menu offers small dishes of 經典小抄 China Classic Stir-Fry and 燒烤小吃 BBQ Sticks. 

The Menu is only 2 pages but choices are varieties from different parts of China; example, the 小籠包  Xiao Long Bao should be 杭州 Hang Zhou style, then the 蔥油麵 Scallion Oil Noodles should be 上海 Shanghai style. The Name of the Skewer "烤羊肉串 Mutton Shashlik" is probably shish kebab and is popular in 中亞 Central Asia, the 高加索 Caucasus, and 俄羅斯 Russia. While the slightly spicy "乾鍋包菜 Griddle Cooked" wasn't surprise that it is a style of dish from 四川菜 Sichuan Cuisine.
