Thoughts: 敦隆餐室 Toon Leong Coffee Shop, a corner shop lot which is located at Transfer Road; is one of those "old" coffee shops still with the colonial appeal with wooden benched seats (with high backs) as well as (I think) marble tiles; it has a history of more than 80+years since the 1930s.
Interestingly, not just offering Hokkien Mee which seems to be Halal, but also Nasi Kandar. In the Kopitiam, I am sitting opposite a Malay couple sharing the same table. Many customers seem to come here for the Nasi Kandar; another popular order as I noticed was roti bakar, half-boiled egg and Kopi Gao.
