Thoughts: And so, the tour guide I met at Toh Soon Cafe recommended a must-eat at Jalan Kampong Malabar which is "汉记小食店 Hon Kei Food Corner". The restaurant offers Pork-based noodles. From Toh Soon Cafe to the Kopitiam was less than 5 minutes walk. I ordered a soup-based of "咸菜汤 Salted Vege Soup" (alternative the Bitter Gourd Pork soup base) at rm$9.10, topped with 粗米粉 Thick Noodle for another rm$2 and addition of 猪肝 for Liver rm$3! For a glutton meal, you can also topped your bowl with 肉丸 Pork Meat ball, 三层肉 Streaky, 猪肚 Tripe, 猪肠 Intestines, 猪肉碎 Minced Pork, and 猪肝 Liver. Besides the 2 soup base choice, you can also opt for rice or yam rice! Well, there is also the "normal" Pork noodles or even Fish/Fish head noodle, and I think porridge as well.
The tour guide said that Hon Kei is popular for its pork noodle and fish head noodle but my bowl of Salted Vege Mixed Soup Pork Soup with addition of Liver was equally very tasty. Next time in Penang, I would like to sample the pork noodle. One think I notice that the shop is quite spacious with a high ceiling,
