Thoughts: According to "Penang Foodies", the Morning Presgrave Hawkers Centre is one of the 10 best street food centres in Penang. Presgrave is referred to as "三条路" or "3rd street" in Penang! But I am not visiting the "bigger" morning hawker centre food court, rather the smaller night time hawkers street which offers maybe 12-14 hawker foods including 海鲜米粉/粥, Curry Mee, 蠔煎/香菇煎, 炒粿條, Satay, 小炒, 肉干/肉丝/鸭脚包, 糖水, Hokkien Mee.
The stalls are either on the road shoulders or at entrance to an old pre-war shop house "兴记茶室 Hin Kee Coffee Shop" with table indoors and outdoors.
The 3rd Street Corner Char Koay Teow stall offers Char Koay Teow in 3 variants: without Egg, with Chicken Egg, or with Duck Egg. Also offered are Salted Egg Fried Rice and Tom Yam Fried Rice. All choices available in 2 sizes. Prices are from rm$5.50 - rm$7.50. I find myself having duck egg char koay teow Penang style, for supper. Comes with 1 big and 1 small prawn, several pieces of chinese sausage, strong duck egg flavored koay teow and I'd say good "Wok Hay"!
Outside 兴记茶室 Hin Kee Coffee Shop is where you can find your night times hawker food (the stalls are just outside/entrance to the old coffee shop), and beverages are available from the Coffee Shop. Anyway, next door is the popular "888 福建面", but that has to be next time! At the same location, there is an upscale eatery called "Gēn 根" offering Omakase!
