Thoughts: Only 3 eateries left at Giant USJ 1, the Sakura, Canteen, and Penang Favorites; all other shops are closed due to 3/4 of its Ground Floor now rented to Decathlon Sports Goods.
There are many "Penang Favorites" as they are claimed to be around USJ area. Even nearby Giant USJ 1, there is one at Damen and another at Summit USJ. This one here at Giant USJ 1 has been in business since last year, haven't tried it until tonight. It has only one page menu with prices from $4 to $7.80, very reasonable price for locals. Its menu includes Penang Cheong Fun, Char Koay Teow, Fried Rice, Cantonese Noodles, Chicken Rice, Wan Ton Mee, Asam Laksa.
My 廣府意面 Cantonese Yee Mee at $6 is really not bad, the prawns and fish cake are quite fresh to begin with, vegetables are green and Yee Mee cooked well in the Pot on a basket. Very nice at a good price.
Parking is free now at Giant USJ 1 only on Sunday and Public Holidays; other days only shoppers with receipt can redeem for a max of 3 hours parking (at $1 per hour).
Penang Favorites at USJ 1 definitely serves as a good choice for breakfast/lunch/dinner at an affordable price for every one.
