Thoughts: Last visit here was April fool's day, which is days before my eye surgery. I have generally avoided nasi lemak and its sambal for 4 months, today I have decided to re-visit the "famous" USJ 9 Nasi Lemak. For me, it has always been the way the rice is cooked as well as the sambal; all must be savored when the rice is hot!
This round, I avoided the Sotong!
Awhile back, saw something of a translation of Nasi Lemak as 辣死你阿嬤 and I think it must have something to do with this Malaysia movie titled as "辣死你妈" (Nasi Lemak 2.0) screened in 2011! LOL! by the very famous eccentrice 黄明志 Wee Meng Chee; Singer, Actor, FilmMaker, Director Wee Meng Chee自编自导自演! It was played in 70 theatres across Malaysia in September 2011. Nasi Lemak 2.0 is Wee's 1st movie which is a budget movie where he used 2 years to complete it without the help of the government or any other financial assistance. The movie is about an Arrogant Chef from China (Wee) who came to Malaysia, but a character who likes to help his fellow street vendors friends but got into trouble with the local "undergrounds" of China Town! He is helped by a Malay Lady Nasi Lemak Vendor (whom is a Tai Chi Master), and that's how the story goes...
Nevertheless, my steamy nasi lemak was great, had it at the gym before I started some like work out of threadmill walking and cycling.
