Highlights: The Caltex Gas Station at USJ 16 is really not a bad place to stop by for coffee anytime of the day, there are enough parking space next to the Cafe.
I came here with a tumbler expecting $2 discount, but instead I was told even without the tumbler now can get 20% discount if one is paying via the StarBucks App!
($12.70 - 20% = $10.15 paid by StarBucks App)
($12.70 -$2 = $10.70 paid by StarBucks Card with tumbler)
Additional Savings of $0.55 if paid via StarBucks App for a "Tall" Latte (is Small Latte).
It wasn't the Latte but the "pairs" of people that were at the Cafe that really was interesting for my 90 minutes at the Cafe!
First was an elderly man advising a middle-age woman on Buddhism; there were seated quite some distance from me but as the Cafe was almost empty in the beginning when I first arrived, I could clearly here the conversation as it was about her venturing into a lot of business and finding difficult to cope with both the business and her staff and him telling her it was due to her past life! LOL! I personally think it is Greed!
Soon walked in another pair which are a Young man and a Teenage girl, he was giving Accounting Tuition (for at least the 1 hours++) to her, it was familiar Accounting vocabulary of Balance Sheet, Debit, and Credits, LOL! I can sense the young man was trying very hard to keep his cool as he was explaining certain things again and again.
Then came two middle aged ladies ordering quite a few plates of pastries and cakes as well as 3 cups of drinks. I don't see them talking too much to each other but rather both are both constantly on their mobile phones.
The same thing happen to two middle aged man came here for their coffee and only played with their mobile phones for the entire duration of their cuppa!
Later in the evening, 2 very young ladies perhaps in their early 20s walked in and seemed very familiar with the Starbucks employees as they greeted each other loudly the moment both walked in the door! The 2 20+young ladies didn't stay, bought their drinks and drove off each with their big Mercedes Benz!
