Thoughts: It is literally translated to "Crying Tiger Meat" (Daging Kambing Harimau Nangis), in English is perhaps really the Terderloin (里脊肉 Eye Fillet) part of cow or lamb. The reason for the name is when a tiger bites on a cow or lamb, that specific part of meat hiding behind the bone of the animal is not reacable by the tiger; thus causing the "Crying Tiger"!
The name of the dish is a fad/inivation for people to the cooking. This one here deep in Kampung Melayu Subang, about 2km from Subang Airport, located within Dataran Pasar Tani (next to Surau Nurur Rahmah). Ample parking space at the site of the market (which opens only on Saturdays).
The chucks of lamb tenderloin is beautifully cooked, comes with sweet soya sauce w/chili & onions (the typical kicap manis for anything grilled for the Malay cooking). The meaty part with a little fat that sticks to the bone was the best, the meal comes with yellow rice (likely briyani style), indeed a very simple combination. The soup however was too oily for me. Overall, a wonderful meaty meal.
