Thoughts: After eating a week of street and restaurant food in Hong Kong, I thought of trying the Hong Kong style Beef noodle and Hong Kong Tea back in KL. Was here at Mak's Chee for their Swiss Chicken Leg 2 weeks ago (before the Hong Kong trip).
In Hong Kong, beef noodle is about HKD$40-$60++ depending on location (so, its about MYR$22-$32), Mak's Chee's Beef noodle (Large) is selling $15.90 (HKD$30) while the Regular is $13.90 (HKD$25). Of course, beef noodle in KL is selling around MYR$8-$10 (HKD$15-$18).
So its about HKD$15-$30 in KL or HKD$40-$60 in Hong Kong for a plate/bowl of beef noodle of similar portions. Generally food in Hong Kong is about 50%-100% more expensive but perhaps also taste 50%-100% much better!
Mak's Chee serves the beef with very thin noodle, the sauce is definilty not as good as those I tasted in HK; beef as well. For now, I do wish to taste another bowl of beef noodle in Hong Kong!
Nevertheless, the milk tea served here at Mak's Chee is really not too bad for my taste, I shall be back for 香港奶茶 here if i need one in the future. There is another shop at Low Yat also serving hong kong food as well as hong kong milk tea which is also comparably good.
