Thoughts: Gravy Baby has 2 restaurant locations, one at Jalan P.Ramlee and another one at Taman Desa; for Dinner tonight, I am visiting the one at Taman Desa. As it is after 5pm, I just parked along Jalan Desa Jaya on the main road with legal parking spots. If you want to park at the shop area, you have to pay even after 5pm.
Gravy Baby advertised as a Pie restaurant (that's what the sign says!). There are 6 choices of pumpkins (chicken, 2 types of steak, fish, lamb, and pumpkin); I think the pumpkin version is vegetarian option. Just Pie&Gravy is $20, and with mash Potato plus beans/peas is $26. I order the $26 variant; as for gravies, there are 3 choices ie: Traditional London East End Parsley Liquor Gravy, Vegetable Gravy, and Meat Gravy. I ordered the Parsley Gravy but the waitress later offered all 3 types of gravies for me to try. I would say it is an interesting meal, but I cannot compare as this is the first time visiting a specialty shop that serves pies. But I do like the combinations.
For drinks, I tried the Hibiscus Ice Tea, again it is interesting. But after all, I still have to to kill and I ordered a cup of Latte; the bar tender makes good Latte. But initially from the menu, I wanted to try the Thai Latte but it is "out of stock"!
Gravy Baby's menu options include Brews, Milkshakes, Beer, Wine, Cocktails, and Shooters for drink. There are sweet menus which are Cakes as well. For food, there are choices of Pizza, Pasta, Pies, Waffles, HotDogs, Salad, and Soups.
I am really not sure it opens as early as 7am but the "Breakfast and Brunch" menu states the time as 7am to 3pm. The Breakfast and Brunch menu offers Pastries, Locals (Prawn Mee or Congee), and Yogurts.
