Thoughts: The Scott Garden always looks luxurious from the Old Klang Road for many years I drove past it in the evenings going home from KL. The most prominent landmark is 兰桂坊 "Lan Guai Fong" and 旺角茶餐厅 "Wong Kok" facing the main road.
I planned for a visit after the 关东煮 at Family Mart. As I arrived, I noticed many people just parked illegally on shoulder of Old Klang Road, taking up one of 3 lanes of the highway! I wonder the police really take any action. Alternatively, you can also get Valet Parking attendance to park for you at $20 per vehicle. The 3rd option is to park at the Scott Garden's Tower parking which is $5 (not sure flat rate, as mine was $5 for 1.5 hours, which is quite expensive).
A little disappointed stepping into Scott Garden's first floor from the parking to find it is worst than Ampang Park! (my opinion). Anyway, this place is really for happy hours, I think at least 8-10 pubs including 兰桂坊 "Lan Guai Fong". Besides 旺角茶餐厅 "Wong Kok", I noticed at least 2 Thai eateries, others are Malay food stalls. At first floor, I think there is a Karaoke lounge for Malays.
The prices of beer are expensive at 兰桂坊 "Lan Guai Fong", starts from $40++ for a 1 pint. For groups, you drink more for cheaper price; likely that's the pricing strategy to lure in groups of beer drinkers instead of lone rangers! Both 兰桂坊 "Lan Guai Fong" and 旺角茶餐厅 "Wong Kok" facing Old Klang Road are the "better decorated" stylish pub/restaurants. However, the Pubs/Lounges at First Floor are not bad as well. "dj Pob & Lounge" currently offers Carlsberg at $10 for 1/2 pint (from 3pm-9pm). 3 TVs inside, one showing videos of women, another one english songs, and 3rd one on chinese video concerts. Naturally only one of the TV volume is one, the chinese one, as the customers here are all chinese which I think likely nearby residents or residents of Scotts Garden Apartments, I think!
The Scott Garden is certainly an interesting place for drinking and eating!
