鍋氣 WOK HEY's fried rice or noodles comes in a Stereotypical Chinese food take-away paper box containers often seen in American movies and sitcoms likes the "Big Bang Theory"! Although in recent years, some restaurants have moved to plastic or Styrofoam, BUT I suppose consumers still feels that it taste better in the paper-box containers. This style of Chinese-takeout container popular in USA, is however really a uniquely American invention. And it is the inventor in 芝加哥 Chicago, Mr Frederick Weeks Wilcox patented a version of what he called a “紙桶 paper pail" on November 13, 1894. His invention is a single piece of paper with its 日本摺紙 Japanese-influenced origami folds, creased into segments and folded into a (more or less) leakproof container secured with a dainty wire handle on top. Although WOK HEY's box container did not come with a wire handle on top!

Inspired by Cantonese-style cooking, each dish is cooked in front of the customer behind the kiosk windows, and cooked in modern Cantonese-style cooking (with 电磁感应炒锅 Electric Induction Woks!). The signature dishes comes out of WOK HEY are customized induction stoves, that can generate intense and consistent heat over a shorter period of time, which also helps in speed and efficiency of every order. Not only it is said to be environmentally friendly, it is said to also create a better working environment for the chefs!
Singapore's Trendiest Asian Stir-Fry "WOK HEY" in Sunway Pyramids offers 4 distinct mains, with choices of 雞蛋炒飯 Egg Fried Rice, 上海炒飯 Shanghai Fried Rice, 新鮮烏冬面 Fresh Udon or 新鮮拉麵 Fresh Ramen.
