Thoughts: Light Capture Café by H.Ö.N transforms a rustic colonial abandoned building into perhaps very much inspired by New York style loft space; offering 咖啡 Coffee, 無酒精雞尾酒 Mocktails, 西方美食 Western and 大馬美食 Malaysian cuisine. The Café takes up 2 shop lots with all 3 floor space (3rd floor not open for dining today); quite an interesting sight from exterior and as well as when one walks into the Café. From the charred exterior walls, a passerby would have easily mistaken it being just another abandoned building in KL. AND similarly, for the interior if ignoring the decorations, customers, wall paintings, 镶木地板 parquet floor and lighting, the interior too looks like an abandoned building; especially with bare beams and the burned brick walls. BUT architect kept the old and blend in with the new, especially with the light streaming through the 3 floors glass windows beautifully illuminates the café, making this relatively new Café easily another instagrammable Café in KL with good food and good coffee. The new Café started its operation somewhere in September-October 2020, during the Pandemic period.

"Light Capture Café by H.O.N", and a few other hipster Cafes like "LOKL", "Kafe Kleptokrat", and "Timothy" are all on Jalan Tun H.S.Lee. I think the nearest parking maybe along Jalan Gereja (nearer to the 3 other Cafes) which is 400m+ from Light Capture. BUT if you are not driving, then best is via Public Transport and alight at Masjid Jamek LRT station. OR take a stroll from China Town via 茨廠街 Jalan Petaling which is maybe 3 minutes walk. The Cafe's location is at the quieter part of the 1.8km Jalan Tun H.S.Lee. When you stumble into a mobile Chee Cheong Fun + Yong Tao Foo stall, that's where the Café is, and the striking yellow color MayBank is just the opposite the Café.
Ordering your food and beverages at Light Capture is via a 二維碼 QR code which is given by the waiter. Today's rm$13 "卡布奇諾 Cappuccino" comes with the choice of either 羅布斯塔 Robusta or 阿拉比卡 Arabica.
Light Capture Café's menu isn't that extensive and cuisines includes 丹麥烘焙 Danish bakes, 大早餐 Big breakfast, 羊角麵包 Croissants, several Malaysian choices like 吉蘭丹烤雞 Ayam Percik and 炒粿條 Char Koay Teow, and 西式肉盤 Western meat plates and 義大利麵 Pasta as well as some 小吃 Small Bites/Appetizers ; from rm$23 to rm$45. BUT today here is just a rm$13 "卡布奇諾 Cappuccino". FOOD must be good as the Café is full house at noon time today. Limited Cakes are available, and the Coffee today was good; but unfortunately no PORK and no Alcohol, although some choices of 無酒精雞尾酒 Mocktails in the menu!Highly recommended! And this should be one of the should-visit Instagrammable Café while you are in KL if you like that sort of thing!
