"Matcha Eight" is one of the many shop lots in Lalaport's Gourmet street, you can see their motto "畢竟生活沒有那麼苦 After all, life isn't that bitter" with the mission to spread happiness and positivity around people with a cone or a cup of the best Japanese tea ice cream.
AND the name ""Matcha Eight" is probably because the Café offers 8 variants of Matcha ice creams with different formula mix of 煎茶 Sensha + 抹茶 Matcha + 甜味度 Sweetness + 苦味度 Bitterness from rm$13 to rm$16 per scoop. You can have it with a 杯子 cup or 冰淇淋锥体 cone (+rm$2), and add-ons with additional costs for some 麻糬 Mochi, 紅豆沙 Red Bean paste, or 金箔 Gold flakes.
Mine was a rm$14 single scoop 抹茶冰淇淋 Matcha me Tonight plus rm$2 加麻糬 Mochi, which is medium Matcha sweetness (No 4 variant). The tea taste of Kyoto Matcha green tea flavor ice cream is intense and the aftertaste is definitely memorable.
