In 2017, the 陳家第三代 3rd Chan generation, 陳偉翔先生 Mr Chan Wee Siang left the hometown of 笨珍 Pontian and moved to a new shop at 哥打白沙羅 Kota Damansara, 八打靈再也 Petaling Jaya to mark a new milestone of the 陳新記笨珍雲吞麵 Chan SinKee Pontian Wantan Mee. Mr Chan still believes in hard work and wakes up early every day to make the the authentic homemade egg noodles that is one of the main ingredient of the red sauce Pontian Wanton Mee.

Thoughts: When 廣式乾面 Cantonese style dry noodles was brought to Malaya from 廣東 Guang Dong, 中國 China; it uses ingredients such as lard, oyster sauce, lards, and soy sauce. 馬來亞中部和北部 Central and Northern Malaya likes it with darker soy sauce, while then 馬來亞南部 Southern Malaya develop a taste of their own with 番茄加辣椒醬 tomato plus chili sauce! 陳英漢先生 Mr Tan Yin Han, also known as 陳新 Tan Sin or Chan Sin migrated to Johor from 新會 Xin Hui of 廣東 Guangdong, 中國 China in the 1930s.

Initially selling Laksa but later in the 1953, he develop his skills to make wonton noodles using 竹昇打麵 bamboo pole after learning from a Master and started selling the famous 笨珍雲吞麵 Pontian Wanton Mee. From selling bamboo noodles via three-wheeled mobile stall, to stalls and later a shop in the 1978 with his son 陳兆炯先生 Mr Chan Ha Chai . The grandson, 陳偉翔先生 Mr Chan Wee Siang learn the skills of preparing the Pontian Wanton Noodle in the 2010s and took over the 70+ years business from there onwards.
The shop offers 雲吞麵 Wanton Mee and 雲吞麵薄 Wanton Mee Pok in 茄汁紅 Tomato, 紅辣茄汁 Tomato Chili Red, 黑醬 Black Sauce, 黑辣 Black Chili, and 白 White variants, all from rm$9.90 onwards; also available are 西刀魚丸 fish ball and 雲吞 wanton a side dish.Food today: 8 / 10 👍👍👍😋😋😋
