Thoughts: 50+ years ago, where I was still a little frog, I used to wonder about the streets of seapark as we lived in a shop lot just across then 宝石戏院, and I remember an old man selling vegetarian chee cheong fun (outside seapark wet market). I can still vividly remember that I really like it.
The seapark wet market is still there, but I was told the old man have not been selling vegetarian chee cheong fun here for some time now. But another vendor, 70s elderly and his younger wife was selling the same thing here, roughly the same spot. It is a push-cart stall (compared to the motocycle the old man had), the vegetarian options and chee cheong fun wasn't the best, but I did like its soup and the mustard as usual. The couple provides a small table with one chair for "dining-in" as most customer just take-away. Eating here just brought back lots of memories!
I know of another motocycle vendor selling the same at the Old Imbi Market, but since its closure; not sure where it went. This one at Pj seaparks wet market is the only I found this morning still selling this "oldies favorite"! Hope to discover others in the future.
Rating: 6 / 10 👍😋
Operating hours: 06:00am - 11:00am++
