Thoughts: 老黄芽菜鸡沙河粉 Lou Wong is probably the most famous bean sprout chicken rice shop in Ipoh. Unlike, in KL where chicken can be steam or roasted; Ipoh seems to be mostly offering steam chicken (I think)! Steam is obviously the best when meat is fresh, that's what makes the meticulous steps of preparing the steam chicken giving the chicken flesh smooth and tender bite, all the more flavorful when enhanced it with light soya sauce.
Personally, based on yesterday's tasting of Ong Kee next door and today's Lou Wong; can't really tell the big difference. Both shops next to each other, serves the steam chicken, meat balls and bean sprout at very similar pricing.
