Thoughts: Ipoh 香饼 Fragrant Biscuit competitors are 新荣和 Sin Eng Hoe, 新荣香 Sin Eng Heong, 南方饼家 Lam Fong and 钟汉元饼铺 Ching Han Guan. All of them have shops located at the same area in Ipoh (within walking distance from 老黄 Lou Wong or 安记 Ong Kee Ngah Choi Kai).
I have no idea who is the best among the Ipoh 香饼四大天王; but this one at 新荣和 Sin Eng Hoe and especially the 炭烧香饼 charcoal skin-based was very nice. To eat this biscuit hot right out the oven is the best, especially over a cup of chinese tea!
