Food Thoughts: Located deep inside the residential area of Seksyen 8 Shah Alam, from Persiaran Kayangan (near Tesco, off Federal Highway), drive all the way down the same trunk road for 6 - 7 km will bring you to Seksyen 8 almost next to the NKVE (Taman Botanic), you will find Restoran Soto Shah Alam. Another favorite among Malay locals in Shah Alam, for it serves over 100 dishes every day and the banner today says open also on public holidays from now on.
Too bad in the afternoon, the seating areas inside the shop was really very stuffy and not making the entire meal quite unfortable for me. Still, overall the dishes I picked (without the rice) were good.
This place is also a hit for breakfast goers in the morning, where it serves Lontong, Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, etc and a variety of kueh. Afternoon will roll out their Nasi Campur dishes, reported to be over 100 dishes daily. Parking is not difficult as it is near residentials, as long as you don't mind the risk of illegal parking on the road shoulders.
