Food Thoughts: Depending on your appetite and your choice of durian, a meal of durian can be above $100 per person. The current price for 猫山王 Musang King is around $38/kg, and a good size durian could be around 2kg+ at $80 which is likely quite filling for one person. The service at this stall is good (of course), instead of the MK, he recommended the 王中王 or "Kapai" which is the same price of $38/kg. It is said that 王中王 or "Kapai" has a taste of sweetness with strong tinge of vanilla flavor and a flora fragrance; well, I am not sure about that but it is certainly very sweet compared to the XO! 王中王 or "Kapai", claimed by some as one of the top breed of 猫山王 Musang King or is it just typical Marketing Tactics.
It is the durian season, and many durian lovers are going for their favorites, many choose to have it as a dinner treat which could easily end up a $200 - $300 meal of just fruits. But Musang King reportly at the price of above $80 just last month is now offering around $40, a little bit affordable now and very much welcome by durian lovers!
