Food Thoughts: One of the very nice perks of being a Malaysian is that in the morning you can have an authentic Malay Breakfast in a place you are surrounded with all Malays in a Malay neighbourhood. And in the afternoon, to have an Indian lunch of roti and chicken varuval or choice of Indian cuisines where everybody around you speaks indian but we all will either end the lunch with a Indian teh tarik or Masala Tea. The night can then end with a Malaysian Chinese Meal with friends and family where you are finally surrounded with noisy Chinese speaking dialects everywhere. That's why I like about this country!
Today, after a Chinese Lunch, just hop to the next restaurant for some Indian desserts of Vada and Dal Vada with their special sauce called Pudina (mild spiciness) & Kotamali (spicy). Both Vada and Dal Vada are typical lovely savory fried snakcs of Indian origin. The Vada is an Indian Vegetarian meal where the recipe has been around for a long time, said to be already existing for many centuries in Southern India which is often eaten as snacks or as an accompaniment to another dish.
For the Vada (Wada), the Chutney dippings are the Kotamali (spicy) and Pudina (less spicy) both are made with fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves, fresh coconut and green chillies. I really like that green Pudina Chutney. Both the Kotamali and Pudina Chutney can be used as dippings for other Indian food such as the Dosa or Idli.
The AYC curry house visited today was at Shah Alam Glenmarie, there are another 2 locations; one at Puchong's Taman Kinrara and another at USJ 4.
Review: 👍😋
