Thoughts: No Laksam at Restoran Mak Uda Selera Timur! And the Nasi Campur does not seem too special. Therefore, I opted for malay desserts I have not tried before. Namely the Tapai Pulut (sweet fermented glutinous rice), it is said that althought the fermentation is similar to "making alcohol" because Tapai is also used to make alcoholic beverages. That all sound quite interesting! Yet, to me the Tapai Pulut seems to be an acquired taste, much like trying to get used to Tempoyak (fermented durian).
Another interesting dish was the Malaysian Sambal Burger $0.50/pc, a small bun with a piece of cucumber and sambal as the "spread" on the bun; now, that's interesting. And this particular bun seems to have around for some time before the Nasi Lemak Burger in some fast food outlets today like Burger King's Nasi Lemak Burger!
