Also not just good food as sampled today BUT the Pub also offers Live Music on Fridays and Saturdays. More so, parking here along the road in front of the shop lots are FREE as this is a private property (did not know this until today)!

Some of them closed (likely affected by the Pandemic) and a few new ones started in the midst of the Pandemic. Besides Farmer's Bar @ Bandar Puteri, the new Craft Beer spot in Puchong is this "Lakeside Tavern & Bar" which is a GastroPub with a good menu choice. The new Watering Hole is on the upper floor of a shop lot along Tanming Boulevard (private shop lot development) and very important is that Parking is FREE!
The Pub Claims to offer 250+ 精釀啤酒 Craft Beers (maybe not all in stock at the fridge today), also 拉格啤酒 Lager as well plus 奧地利雪絨花啤酒 Edelweiss on tap. The Pub opens from lunch as early as 11am and closes past midnight at around 1am. The interior isn't too fancy or even too "Pub-like", but more like a restaurant with proper dining tables BUT there is a corner of the shop with a Live Music setup and if you come on Friday's and Saturday's after 8:30pm should be able to enjoy some LIVE Music and Songs. The owners' are probably also fans of Artist in the 70s and 80s as the walls are adorned with 披頭士樂隊 Beatles, James Dean, 貓王 Elvis, Queen (British Rock Band), and 萊昂內爾·里奇 Lionel Richie!
For lunch today is a rm$22 "義大利三鮮蘑菇燴飯 Trio Mushrooms Rissoto" from the Set Menu which comes with water melon and salad on the side, and the main is a vegetarian Italian Rissoto with Mushrooms. 義大利燴飯 Risotto from the Italy word "Riso" meaning "米飯 rice", is a northern 意大利北部 Italian rice dish cooked with broth until it reaches a creamy consistency. The broth can be derived from meat, fish, or vegetables. The cooking method is one of the most common ways of cooking rice in Italy and the Italian Risotto is often a first course served before the main course.For Craft beer today is a rm$37 "惡魔之石-傲慢混蛋美式烈性愛爾啤酒 Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale" by Stone Brewing (an American brewery). Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale is an aggressive beer with a whooping 7.2% ABV 100 IBU, which is a strong American Ale and have a more sophisticated taste compared to some other Craft beers. The beer pours out as from the 350ml bottle in almost ripe dark cherry color Both the malt flavor and malt sweetness are very quickly replaced by a high bitterness which lingers on the palate for a while. On the bottle itself, it arrogantly advertised itself with these words "This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory .... ".
In USA, a 19oz (560ml) can of "Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale" is around US$3.50 or less (rm$18)! But, Beer in Malaysia is considered SUPER EXPENSIVE as my 335ml bottle todays is rm$37 (US9++)! It is not secret that Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim country, in which the culture of drinking alcohol is not welcome. Therefore, the government imposes heaving tax to beer and alcoholic drinks widely known as a “罪惡稅 Sin Tax". So those who wish to drink are effectively committing a Sin and therefore, we must pay. The “罪惡稅 Sin Tax" was reported to make up at least 4% to 5% of the total Malaysia government revenue.
As for Puchong's new Watering Hole, the "Lakeside Tavern & Bar", will be back for the Good Food and maybe one or two Sin Beer!
